I stopped in for a "pick me up" at about 3pm this past Monday. I'm definitely not a regular. I frequent the business maybe once a month. So I walked in and stood at the counter. There were no employees around. No problem. I waited patiently....and waited. Finally an older Hispanic gentleman comes out of the back (I'm pretty sure he's the owner). He's sees me but doesn't say hi/welcome. He doesn't call an employee to help me. He also doesn't offer to help me himself. He proceeded to walk out the front doors and BS with a couple of guys eating at an outdoor table. I wait some more... Finally a young Hispanic guy comes to the register and I'm finally able to order my Caramalita. The absolute lack of customer service from the owner himself prompts me to write this review with a one star rating. I would love nothing more than to support local business. However, the owner of Barrio should either close up shop (because he doesn't give a crap) or learn what customer service means.

Love this local place! Pastries are fresh and delicious. Reminds me of small quaint cafes in Spain. Best thing ever is literally the best thing ever. Their apple muffins are addicting. Their churro latte should probably be patented. It can get busy, and maybe some workers might feel overwhelmed here and there, so sometimes service can be inconsistent. But the most consistent staff member that always provided us amazing service, busy or not, each and every time, is Demarcus. When we see him working we already know we won't be second guessing the service today, and it makes everything above plus the ambiance just that much better.

My first impression: This place is like a coffee shop on steroids! They have many bakery items and they all look delicious. I tried the cherry cheesecake danish and it was heavy!!! I also ordered the Barrio bagel on a jalapeño bagel it has eggs, cheese, bacon, and tomato and lettuce. It's a perfect breakfast sandwich with a kick. They also serve alcohol! The store is pretty sizeable so you are able to study and they do have open mic during the week! I was also looking around and saw that they have a local artist's paintings displayed and for sale. Barrio has impressed me on my first visit!

Stop here regularly for lattes and mochas. Their cinnamon rolls and muffins are favorites too. Staff are always friendly and baristas work very hard. The line is often out the door. Inside is cute and there's nice seating outside.

Had the Bario breakfast sandwich on the cheddar & jalepeno bagel, it was super fresh, full of flavor, & yummy! The Bikini bottom tea was very refreshing. Vibes are great, service was good, a bit slow, but they were pretty busy, with a non stop line out the door. So be prepared to be there for a bit. Would definitely come back.

Went on a Sunday morning when it was not too busy but there were a handful of customers. The restaurant itself is nice. I ordered a "closed bagel" BLT but the bagels were extremely hard which caused my jaw to click at my attempt to bite into it and couldn't even eat the sandwich. The mango ice tea tastes nothing of mango. My boyfriend enjoyed his iced mocha and bagel for the most part but it wasn't worth the price. 2 bagels, 2 drinks the size of a standard soda can for $46 dollars. Lesson learned.

Got their signature churro latte, it was delicious. Also so happy to see they have savory options for the baked goods, so I grabbed couple of empanadas! ?

Really disappointed in this place. Crumbs and old cups on every single table, dirty dish bin overflowing. Latte and quiche were both lukewarm. Also, no high chairs. I wanted to like this place and support it, but it's dirty and food seems questionable.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. No high chairs, not a ton of low seating for kids.

The food is always so great, but I really wish they had better coffee.

Barrio is a hidden gem in South Land Park. Great coffee, amazing pastries, rotating art shows, and open mic nights. Once you try it, you will love it, too.

Place has a lot of potential but....We ordered the egg salad sandwich and the barrio sandwich. Egg salad sandwich only came with egg salad and not the sprouts, pickled onion, etc they have listed on the menu. However they remade it for us. They were out of all their different lemonades. They didn't have the specific coffee for one of their drinks listed and we needed to have them grab oat milk for us when we already told them at the register. There's a lot of potential here though. Staff was friendly and good location.

I've been here before and it was really good. This time, I had the breakfast egg sandwich in a croissant. The croissant was hard. I'll have to go back and give them another try. Maybe it was a bad day for croissants. I'll try it again, tho. First time I was there i had a fig Danish. And it was amazing. All these other Danish look amazing. The coffee I had was also really good.
