im not gonna lie for the money me and my date spent the food was kinda cheeks,they put onions and peppers in there greens which is gross,the catfish isnt fried hard so it comes apart and the chicken is mild with very little seasoning,and the cornbread taste like cake,you can tell someone non melenated cooked the food ,would never come back here fixins is wayyyyy better

Went in and bought a 10 piece for $35 chicken and made it a meal for $15. Loved the waffle fries and waffle to replace the corn bread they were out of. Unfortunately, the 10 piece bucket was sad. It was a small chicken that was heavily, but deliciously battered. The breasts were split and there was very little meat. Personally, the Mac & cheese had too much garlic salt, and the cole slaw needed a little more sweetness. Was very disappointed, and don't think we'll be back anytime soon. I'll save my fried chicken cravings for Crack Shack in SD.

Today I had a chicken, fries, and Mac N cheese with chicken bites. Chicken sandwich was really good, really good chicken. Fries was meh, nothing special. Now the Mac N Cheese with chicken bites was fire! 🔥🔥 definitely became an instant favorite. Definitely recommend this place. Good place to hangout with friends and have some drinks.

I was so excited to eat from here as this was our date night. We rented a movie and I put in an order for catfish, rice and beans, collard greens and honey cornbread.
When we got our food, I was SHOCKED AT how LITTLE EFFORT was put into our $65 order. The rice and beans was literal soup. Soup! With no salt the beans were undercooked. The batter on the catfish was bland bland bland! And the collard greens were cooked in a tub of vinegar . Totally disappointing. If it wasn’t so cold outside I would’ve got my money back but I took this as a loss. Not sire if it was just a bad night cause last time we ate here it was absolutely delicious. But tonight, ball missed. Terrible terrible awful no seasoning at all. Will try again and hope for better next time.

We had the pleasure of enjoying some food and beer on a warm autumn night. We sat out front and vibed with all of the activity on R Street. The cauliflower wings are my go too. Ask for all of the sauces. Yum!

Let me start by saying I never would have thought I'd see the day when I was giving this place a two star review. I've been hooked since the first time I came. Then they teamed up with Spider Monkey and started carrying this delicious peach cobbler so I was really hooked! To the point I was sometimes coming 2-3x a month. Up until yesterday when I called to place a to go order and was told they changed their menu. Whyyyyyyyy?! Seriously why mess up a good thing? I always got the half chicken plate in maple hot with greens and mac & cheese. And the fried cauliflower bites for an appetizer. The only thing they still have is the macaroni!!! OMG WHY?! I'm so disappointed. I really hope this is just an experiment.
I expected good eats, but WOW. The oysters were a flavor explosion, the shrimp were scrumptious, and the chicken sandwich was to die for. I'm extremely impressed, thank you!
