Loved this place! They had an extensive menu with Bento boxes, sushi, sashimi, ramen, udon, etc. The service was great and everything we ordered was delicious! Will definitely be back.

Everything was sticky. I touched various places around the bar, table tops, my shoes on the walk to the bathroom--and the floor in the bathroom itself! What cleaning product causes absolutely every surface to be tacky to the touch? Couldn't eat here. Had a beer--served in a chipped glass with a sharp edge--and left. Bartender was personable but I don't think I'll be back.

The Bento Box is good ....we shared it. I liked the sesame chicken . We also had the Korean ribs but they could have been more meaty and tender. Overall, it was good and tasty. Timmy is a wonderful server

We originally planned to eat at Kitchen15, but since it was closed, we decided to try Bento Box downtown. While looking over the menu and preparing to be seated, one of our friends needed to use the restroom. The hostess told us we had to purchase something first before using the facilities—meaning we were expected to pay for food we hadn’t even ordered yet.

Frustrated, we left. Later, we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and returned, this time recording the experience to see if it was a one-time issue. Unfortunately, the manager/owner treated us the exact same way.

We never even got the chance to order food, yet the service was already unwelcoming and dismissive. Very disappointing experience. We will not be returning.

The customer service was horrible. The food was terrible. It was oil for a break roll. In addition to that the teriyaki chicken bowl was dry ever and when it was mentioned to staff, they just said oh they’re not giving refunds.

I will never be back there again

I wouldnt come to this place again. I came in on my birthday, and almost immidietly our server had an issue with us. We ordered two juices 3$ each, and he said (quietly, he was very quiet despite the place being loud) that they were non refillable, was that fine. We confirmed, and one of the juices comes out as a different juice.
Who cares? Its juice? I tell him that ones wrong, (weak pineapple allergy, we couldnt just drink it) and he gives us trouble. Argues that he repeated the order, etc. My guy, its 3$ juice. Meals here are 15$ per person minimum, assuming you dont get appetizers or drinks. I was fine with paying for the juice we didnt drink, even.
He then takes our meal order, repeats it back just as quietly as he had been when he mentioned the no free refills. He was only loud enough to be heard when he was upset about the juice.
Then he ignores us for the rest of the time. Checking on literally everyone in our section, so we know it was specfically ignoring us. Whatever. We have to ask the busser for our check, because he literally avoids us. A different server has to come over to give us our check.
Lost a 20$ tip over 3$ store bought juice. It was ridiculous.

MTDA 2007

Apparently the waiter didn't want our business. After being told to move several times and no wanting to accommodate a group of people (at least $300 tab) we went to the Gastropub and dropped $400. Don't know if the food is good but the service is horrible.

Ordered tempura. Thick and doughy yuck. No sense of service. Waiter had an iPad leashed onto his neck and had no eye contact or conversation. Rolls were gigantic portions. My spider roll looked like a thumb. They do not care about running this restaurant in a good way.

Great atmosphere, great prices, great food, many shellfish allergy & vegan sushi options it's been soo long since I've had sushi. Great portion sizes & the 1/2 off sushi deals amazing. We had enough portions to take home for the following day. We also ordered the deep fried cheesecake for my daughters bday.

I'm so disappointed, and honestly a little upset.

Every me and my fiance are in Sac, we make it a point to get Bento Box. It's been great until this year.

Quality has slipped, both in service and in food.

As far as atmosphere goes, the floor is permanently sticky, and there's always trash under the tables.

Service was worse.

I have epilepsy. We were seated at a table that was fit between two flashing LED advertising signs. The signs reflected off the windows on both sides facing the table, so I was unable to face the table (or eat my food).

I immediately informed the waitress and the hostess that I was epileptic and requested we be moved. Both said they'd move us the moment another table opened up...

3 tables opened up. They stayed empty for a time, then they got filled with 2 people each.

In other words, they could have moved us, but they chose not to.

I used to be a hostess, so I understand the complexity of seating, wait times, and reservations. This was genuine carelessness.

I had to shield my eyes and look down the entire time I ate. The waitress looked horrified and somewhat remorseful when she finally came back with our check, as if she hadn't believed me until she saw me struggling.

As for food... I found a piece of what looked like a Lysol wipe in my udon. Hooray.

Despite the large crowd, the service was quick. We came in with a large party and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us.
There was a robbery going on while we were waiting for our food. While most of the staff was fighting the robber, we were still served. The food was good. The staff managed to keep things quiet and we felt calm even during the potentially dangerous situation. Someone got hit by a car (I hope they are ok)

Customer described meal they wanted (sesame chicken/sesame chicken bowl that looks like general tso’s to waitress). Waitress explained that yes that sesame chicken bowl on menu is what you described. Order was delivered and was actually fried chicken cutlet over rice, no sesame seen on food. Customer attempted to return order and male manager would not take back to food. Then asked customer is they looked at the menu for what sesame chicken was. There is no picture of sesame chicken. There is a photo of it under the kids menu/not near bowls on the menu. Male Manager then asked if customer tried it and tasted it and that it was sesame chicken. Customer did not touch the food and stated he did not receive what he described after explaining it to the waiter. Manager would then not take the food back or refund it from the bill. A second manager then came out stating the same thing and that they could swap items on the menu. Worst management customer service in a very long time. Took talking to 2 different waitresses and 2 different managers. It took 20 mins of discussion and then saying no no no we won’t refund, to actually get the bill changed and for them to actually refund the meal. This is not sesame chicken.

The food tasted good, however the service was awful, its con weekend and I understand being backed up, however my party and I were forced to sit out in the heat for over half an hour, and wait another half an hour for our orders to be taken, we finally got our food after an hour and a half but it felt like they were very unprepared and unprofessional.
