This place has TERRIBLE service. Waited 45 minutes on my 1 hour lunch break for food that was cold and not worth the wait or the price. My party's food all came out within 15 mins but mine took twice as long. By the time it came out l asked for them to box it and that took an additional 15 mins. When I told the manager I no longer wanted the food because of the wait time, she said she didn't know what happened because the kitchen goes by ticket order.
Then she said she couldn't refund my money. I didn't have time to argue or demand anything.
I took the food to go and it wasn't great. It was normal bento box tasting food. The cucumbers were a little fishy tasting.

Went during lunch, mind you the inside was not super busy, donāt know about pickup orders. I looked at the menu ahead of time and wanted the daily special which was teriyaki chicken and 4 piece gyoza. I went up to register ordered the chicken teriyaki and Gyoza. When the staff read my total I asked: thatās how much your daily special is? She said you didnāt order lunch special you have to say lunch special. I clarified what i wanted and she said she would adjust. I paid, left a tip and grabbed receipt. It came out to $32. I looked on the receipt and she charged me $10 for an order of gyoza. I asked to speak to the staff who I believe was a manager and she said because I didnāt specify lunch special that was how she rung up order. I pointed out that I had clarified I wanted the lunch special prior to paying. She told me she couldnāt adjust and would have to void entire order and start again. Since I was with a group i didnāt want to hold anybody up. Mind you I ordered right after my colleagues. I sat down and they brought out peopleās food one by one. They brought the gyoza order and I asked for a box. My food was not coming. Fifteen minutes later (12:29) I asked one of the workers if my order was coming out. She told me: theyāre working on it. Finally at 12:43 they brought out the food and I said can you just put it in a to go box, I have to leave. She took the plate. At 12:50 I got up to tell them I wanted to cancel and she was handing me my order. I told her I no longer wanted it and would like money back. The manager came to speak to me and said the same thing. I didnāt specify lunch special. I told her that was no longer issue and pointed out how long it took for my order to arrive. It was not lost on me that I complained and surprise surprise my order took a long time. The mgr said because I asked for it to go they had to re-fire the food. Not ounce did she offer a partial refund much less a full. She never even apologized. And just as I thought, my food was lukewarm at best. It was definitely not fresh. Horrible customer service, food was just okay, maybe because of the temperature. Did not have a bad experience at midtown location and been there several times.

Food was good.
However I thought I had ordered the spicy cali fried roll. Lady at the register re-read me the order and I mustāve missed that she put down just spicy cali roll. When the spicy roll came out I asked about it and found out I was charged for the regular instead of fried. No biggie, few minutes later an employee walked up and advised me there was a difference in price and the regular roll was $12 and the other roll was something else(I didnāt hear how much) I assumed it was a few dollars more, no problem at all, I want to pay for whatever I ordered. But I get up from my date to go wait in line for a minute or two cause both registers were in use to find out the difference was a dollar, $1.09 to be exact. Iāve only been to this place twice, spending around $100 + tip each time for 2 people. I completely understand needing people to pay for the stuff theyāve ordered and if it was $5-10 dollars, sure interrupt my date to have me pay for the food I thought I ordered. But a dollar? You could have just asked me to get it on the way out? The staff was friendly, nice, and apologetic. It was just an odd experience that left a bad taste in my mouth.
Lesson learned, carry at least a little cash so when thereās a single dollar discrepancy I can just give cash to the waitress.

They really need to upgrade this place the service is not the greatest it's not the cleanest place and the waitress needs to be more friendly with patrons I definitely would not recommend this place
The prices are quite frankly, nearly unaffordable for me at this point. I used to get multiple rolls and two plates of the chicken noodles. With how expensive it has gotten, I can only afford one chicken noodle plate to share and maybe 1-2 rolls. Really good, but the prices make it barely affordable unless you are well-off.
