We almost didn't think it was open. This is a very unassuming place and such a breath of fresh air! The Johnny Cash was pretty special- my Long Island Iced Tea was, even more! Glad we found this place & can't wait to come back.

Worst service of my life I was sat down and had to wait 15 minutes for the server to ask me what I wanted to drink I said water very simple right? No well I had to wait another 15 minutes for nothing I just left I couldn’t get a simple glass water wasted 30 minutes of my time the bartender looked unprofessional, seemed to be pouring himself drinks instead of working .

We stopped by this burger bar for a late breakfast. Overall the visit was okay, but a few details left an unpleasant impression.
When we arrived, there were several “reserved” signs on tables. The hostess simply told us to take a menu and choose a table ourselves and did not guide us to a specific table. Because of that, we sat at one that had a reserved sign. Shortly after, we were asked to move to another table. That by itself would be fine, but just two minutes later another couple came in and sat at the same table we were asked to leave, and they were not asked to move. It felt confusing and slightly uncomfortable.
Service was mixed. On the positive side, water and menus were brought quickly, which we appreciated.
For food, we ordered breakfast and had a chicken sandwich. Interestingly, when it arrived it looked much more like a burger than a sandwich. The bigger issue was that we specifically asked for it not to be spicy, but the sauce on the chicken turned out to be quite spicy, which made the meal less enjoyable since neither my husband nor I eat spicy food.
Nothing was completely terrible, but the combination of being asked to change tables, the unclear seating situation, and the spicy food despite our request left a bit of a disappointing feeling after the visit.
Overall, the place has potential, but the service and attention to customer requests could definitely be improved.

It's small old and dark. The food is usually very good but I have had a few misses which is why 4 stars for food. Only one person was working the last two times I was there which causes delays.

Made recommendations, talked to us, and even gave us a little history on the place. The duck burger was AMAZING! The onion rings were HUGE. The Johnny Cash Burger was also tasty! And perfect garlic fries. Definitely will visit this location again. Thank you for a great lunch!

Divey and perfect! The bartender was super cool and chill. Food was amazing, especially for a dive joint.
WOW. This place is amazing! The Gold Rush burger and Banh Mi fries are absolutely to die for, and there are so many other delicious creative options! The staff was extremely friendly, and there is a very local, communal vibe (we actually made our choices based on recommendations from a regular). It’s the type of spot where everyone knows each other, but are welcoming to newcomers. The beer and cocktails are also delicious, and there’s a really cool mural over the whole building. A Sacramento must-visit!
