This was our second time here. Food was flavorful, but the fries were a little cold. We had reservations for 6 people and called early in the day to modify the guest count & I was told they were fully booked & could not accommodate because “all the chairs would be occupied”. I understood & kept it without the additional guests. However, there were plenty of vacant tables & chairs while we dined. Our server was TERRIFIC! Great customer service & very attentive.
After our reservation was lost, was ignored at the bar, finally sat and ignored at our table (for 20 minutes until another waiter overheard our frustrations and sat off to find our waitress), we finally placed an appetizer order about 30 minutes after walking into the restaurant. Throughout, we were served underwhelming food with mediocre service and long waits for drink orders. The goat cheese had a Thai chili sauce, not honey. The bone marrow was oil and unappetizing. The mashed potatoes were overworked and gummy. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and this was a let down of an experience. Our waitress tried her best to recover the evening but it was lost within 10 minutes of being inside this location. Not a single front of house manager in sight. Disappointed. Let down. We will not return.
Place was busy due to a show happening. But the staffing should be appropriate to deal with the rush. It took forever to get our food. 30 minutes to get a margarita I ordered. When the drink arrived, it was 95% ice. Total ripoff with how much I was charged for it. I would've sent it back, but that probably would've been another 30 mins. Meat was ok at best. Place was nice and had good location to golden 1, but that's about it. Probably won't go back.
The only thang that was not perfect was the additional 4% service charge added to the final bill for two people. When asked what it was for, the manager could not explain what it was for and removed it.
We went for my birthday celebration and were not disappointed. The table was beautiful with a unique light and a birthday note. The service was exceptional with the server, manager, and even the owner checking in on us. The cocktails were good and there was a nice wine selection. I started with a Caesar salad and my friend had the French onion soup, both were great. We both had the NY strip steaks with a side of mushrooms and macaroni with cheese. Everything was delicious! If I could eat those mushrooms every day, I would! We finished our meal with dessert wine, which was amazing and they brought out a cake with a sparker in it. Very impressive. They have a great bar and happy hour menu so we will definitely be back!
The food was delicious and service was excellent. I would recommend this place for all occasions.
Last year I brought my parents to Butcher and Barrel for their birthday's and this year when I asked them where they wanted to go they immediately said Butcher and Barrel! This year's experience was better than last by far! We were immediately greeted and the hostess wished my parents a happy birthday. The table was decorated with a cute Happy Birthday card and the menus said Happy Birthday. Our waitress was THE BEST! She was extremely attentive and personable. The manager stopped by to wish us a great night. Everything was delicious from the complementary amuse bouche (potato wedges with homemade ranch), the Ruben eggrolls, the side salads and French onion soup, to the entrees rib-eye and filet with sides of mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. We were so full but they came out with huge pieces of chocolate cake that was so decadent. It was great experience and hopefully we will make this a yearly tradition! Thank you.
This wonderful restaurant has become my "go to" location. The food, service and ambience is exceptional. The servers are kind, friendly and attentive. I enjoy every visit and look forward to future visits.
Bar took too long to get the drinks, waiter was great but had way to many tables and wasn't able to check on us often. It was way too noisy, really need some acoustic work to minimize noise. Took us 20 minutes just to get the check. Our drinks came out with our dinner and we couldn't even have a second one because it would take too long.
We had a great experience at this restaurant. It was a last minute booking for a birthday and they were very accommodating. The server and staff were kind and attentive to our needs especially being one of the last tables of the night. The food was amazing and they all took great care of us.

Our meal was delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was upscale and fun. The only reason I only gave four stars for the service was because our waiter never smiled and really wasn't friendly. He just kind of mumbled to us. Not sure if he was having a bad day, but I thought I'd mention it. It was an expensive meal out but fun to splurge every once in a while.
I took my s/o here for his 45th bday. He had never been to B&B. He ordered a sidecar and the rack of lamb. I ordered a light the beam and the half chicken. When we first arrived we were seated in a louder area; I asked if we could move to a table in the back, and it was allowed. Since it was my s/o birthday our wait person brought out an amuse bouche of potato wedges with ranch. The food came out hot and flavorful. The lamb was cooked to my s/o satisfaction; he was in heaven! I also enjoyed my half chicken. Although neither of us had room for dessert, the staff brought him a chocolate cake. From the host to our wait person to the server to the manager, they made our night very special and immensely enjoyable. My s/o is excited to eat at B&B again.
Was going in with the expectation of a trendier hip atmosphere with savory steaks.
The food was OK. The appetizers of the goat cheese croquettes and the Reuben egg rolls were actually excellent. My pasta was very good but the steak for $60 and we’ve eaten all over the country traveling for business was far at best. Expected much more. The sides with the steak were good Not great.
The service was only fair although our server was a young man who was nice definitely no professionalism, but that wasn’t a reason to not give a good review. After we had given our order, it took quite a long time for the appetizers to arrive and then a little bit longer than usual for the entrées to arrive. We never asked if we wanted to refresh our drinks and when we received our bill we were charged for something we did not order and it took them almost 20 minutes to get the bill readjusted while we just sat there.
The one thing that was very unappealing was atmosphere. The room was great, cool decor, lighting seating, but incredibly noisy. It was a very young crowd and I don’t have an issue with that, but I felt more like I was at Applebee’s than what was considered to be a trendy fine dining restaurant as promoted. The staff walked around, singing happy birthday at tables and just seemed to be almost lost in the woods. They were all running all over the place. There wasn’t one thing that was absolutely terrible, but it was a combination of everything with the expectation again as it was promoted to be a hip spot to enjoy a nice evening with conversation and higher quality food than what it would be expected anywhere else that’s once again where the disappointment was. If you’re younger and you’re running around with your friends in like a loud noisy places, it’s perfect. I’m not looking for somewhere to be quiet like a monastery and I don’t mind all the action going on but once again it was just a bit much very unsatisfactory experience.
You’re expecting it to be a little more sophisticated in top notch unfortunately you’re going to be disappointed. If you’re younger and like places their noisy, it’s absolutely your cup of tea.

Always a pleasant experience here. The food is always good, the service is always tops, and the location is perfect for walking to in downtown near doco. They even have a great Happy Hour spread. Menus changes every season so you are always getting something new and fresh. The oysters we tried today was delicious however I wish they kept it on more ice so it stays chilled the whole time. Steaks were always good here and definitely a good vibe!

This was our first visit, and we had a fantastic experience. While the open atmosphere can get a bit loud, the food and service were truly outstanding. Our server, Nikki, was the absolute best—so accommodating and sweet. Her amazing personality is the main reason we're giving a 5-star review. The food was also incredible, and we loved that Mike, the GM, took the time to check on us and chat. As a family-owned spot, it's clear they care about their guests. We'll definitely be back soon and will be asking for Nikki!
