Best Bun Bon Hue in town! I've had it everywhere, and nothing comes close.

Would come back. 5 stars because they seem consistent and reliable. Solid classics at a good price with different size options.

We got banh hoi with pork and mi quang. Wanted banh xeo but sold out, wish we got banh beo as well.
Mi quang noodles weren't super strong turmeric flavor and the texture was just ok, but gave a lot of meat and fair value. Everything was hot and filling.

We came specifically for the variety of dishes that weren’t easy to come by. The banh beo was rated a 9/10, the clam appetizer salad was unique and delicious that came in either a small or large portion, and the Bun Bo Hue was tasty but less salt-forward. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience to try some unique dishes. The restaurant team were friendly and kind, originating from our family’s home town which made the experience additionally endearing. Everything was clean and organized, with thoughtful and humble decor.

Note: They've also discontinued the Bun Mam and Chao Long from the menu (Oct 2025)

I got the pho tai large, which was ample amount of food. Good meats, delicious sweet broth, and tons of veggies & noodles. Admittedly I could’ve gone with a small. Paired it with a soda sua hot ga, it was with sprite, which I prefer with club soda so that wasn’t my fav. Husband got bun dac biet, good proportions of meat, shrimp, egg roll, nem nhuong, and pork floss in even bites. I recommend this place and would return.

I went there the Mi Quang specifically as it is very hard to find it in Sacramento in general.

I always order food here for the past 20yrs and this is not the first time they made a mistake with my order. I said number 38 multiple times over the phone and asked again when I picked up the food showing the number 38 in the menu book and said yes it’s right. I opened the food when I arrived home and sure then wrong food. Tried calling and no one answered. So disappointed with this place.

Beautiful interior, average food, bun bo hue was good, bun mang vit soup tasted good, the duck was way over cooked, super dried, hard. Banh bot loc wrapping was too thick and chewy.

My homegirl introduced me to this place and is educating me in her food and culture. The resturant was clean, neat, and the customer service was courteous and fast. There was only an hour left before closing when I got there but they didn't rush us at all. I got a super delicious noodle broth with carrots in it and am so glad I went here instead of the other restaurant next door. I definitely want to go again and try out the other dishes they have and expand my pallette.

Parking: I park close to the resturant bc it's pretty ghetto the neighborhood and street this resturant is on.

Bun Bo hue here is the best. Rick flavor and don’t forget to ask for their shrimp paste.

Food was great! Great service and always refills my water. Their house special vermicelli noodles is probably the best I've had in years. Not to mention, they have the best Bun Bo Hue!

Great presentation but severely lacking in flavor and quality. More details below but overall was a sad meal that left me unsatisfiedVermicelli noodle: dry, sauce wasn’t good(idk how you can mess up sauce for vermicelli noodles) noodles were a little hard, shrimp had tough, dry texture like it was old?eggrolls: fresh, one of the better options but lacked dipping saucerice cake: wayyyyy too tough and chewy, one of those things you spit out after chewing after a few seconds. Definitely lacked flavor! Wasn’t sweet or salty, & very oily with green onionHainanese chicken rice: 100% needed salt. Again lacked flavor in both the chicken and rice. I was rly looking forward to this dish specifically and was disappointed. The sauce had an odd taste and the flavor profile didn’t match the meal imo

I tried out their central vietnamese dishes. Overall, the food is okay, not the best tasting bun bo hue or mi quang, but there are not many options anywhere, even in San Jose. The portion sizes are very large, and the food came out really quickly. The best part was probably the banh bot loc, which is a nice consistency. The bun bo hue also has a lot of the pork legs so if you're into that, that's a plus.
