Been here a few times to play pool. Went early on a weeknight with the entire pool section open. On Friday and Saturday nights, it's obviously busier. Would be nice if it stayed open a little later. Most spots on this street close a little early. Had a couple appetizers that were good.

Had a lunch/dinner date with my wife and we both enjoyed. Service was excellent and the food was delish. My wife enjoyed the salad sampler and I enjoyed the turkey burger. The lemonade is so awesome and homemade with agave. The mango hard cider was great too. We will be back soon

Come here for the food and the location. They are consistently making good and fresh food, with a great mix of standards and seasonal specialties. The location can’t be beat. I love the variety of seating. A warning though: the bar staff are surly. I thought it was just one manager, but now I see it's the whole crew. Maybe it's because they're constantly policing people who are trying to order on the Café Bernardo side and eat on the R15 side? . Don’t expect a warm reception or pleasantries in the bar, and you’ll be fine. (They tend to be more sunny on the cafe side!)

The manager, Jen, comes out to chat and treats us like family. Ricky Gonzales takes time to check in on our family and knows our order by heart. Thanks for the great service last night, Ryan. Brunch was excellent, but I don't think they were as prepared for the rush of customers on that particular day..... Hence, the service was a bit lacking ; find out glasses to be dirty and the timing was off. Other than than, the food was pretty delicious, although I would have liked more spice.

Wow, I am incomplete disbelief, and in shock on how disrespectful the bartender who was here this afternoon was. I recorded a whole video on our interaction. She was the most disrespectful bartender I’ve ever met in my life. I approached her at the bar and I asked for creamy espresso martini. I told her I like the creamier espresso because it’s sweet side and I’m not a coffee drinker and she looked at me and “ITS EXPRESSO WHAT DO YOU EXPECT” I looked at her and said well, of course you know that it’s espresso, but there’s many ways to make it DARK or Creamy… (when you’re a bartender especially when it’s an open bar, sometimes they know how to make different drinks) She started yelling at me and asking. “ WHY WOULD YOU WANNA PAY FULL PRICE FOR A DRINK WITH JUST KAHLUA AND BALEYS” when that’s clearly not what I asked for all I said was instead of making it completely dark if you can add some baleys and kaluah. She said “ Well, the way we make it here is just a shot of espresso and vodka with simple syrup” when literally the Kahlúa and the babies was right in front of my face? All I was asking, was for the drink to be mixed with a little bit of those two to make it creamier. I literally only asked her one time so I don’t understand why she was so frustrated. I could hear it in her tone of voice that she was so angry just because I was explaining to her how it is that I wanted it. She continued to yell at me in front of all the customers, and I was telling her you are so disrespectful and you need to learn to speak to people because if you interact with way, just because you’re having a bad day or because you don’t know how to make a certain drink that is insane and it’s absolutely not OK! I’m the type of person that can feel energy right away so if you’re talking to me aggressively and your tone of voice is high and you’re making me feel like I’m stupid just because I’m asking you a simple question. I’m gonna start feeling attacked and that’s why I pulled out my camera and I started recording her because I was in disbelief on how aggressive she was just for a simple question and then she flipped it on me once she seen that I was recording and she started saying I was the one that was being that way when all I was doing was protecting myself and I wanted proof so I can write a detailed review and show future customers how disrespectful she was . I asked her for her name several times in the video and she said absolutely not. She said she didn’t wanna tell me her name. so therefore, I’m gonna write a view hopefully the owner will reach out to me because somebody like that does not need to be working around people. She said she was the manager and for her to be the manager in speaking that way to somebody is INSANE!

Love coming to this location everyone is so sweet and great vibes! I love getting the kimchi fried rice for brunch with an iced chai! The salmon blt is my complete favorite! Lena always has great recommendations and always has a super uplifting spirit! 10/10 recommend cafe Bernardo R ST!
