Came in for today Friday's special $3.50 boba. We got a Thai tea and a Hojicha milk tea. However, both were watered down, not creamy and were on the light side of sweetness.

The cafe la vie was a nice cafe inside was cute and to relax and to enjoy your coffee .Vietnamese egg coffee was very delicious and refreshing as well. Would go here again to try different varieties of coffees they have.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was fully occupied with customers. We ordered Vietnamese crème brûlée, signature milk tea and Thai tea (all half sugar, add boba). We were first in line but our drinks did take a while to be ready. Then when we got our drinks, the boba was missing in the Vietnamese crème brûlée. When we brought it to the cashiers attention, they had initially wanted to pour the boba in a new cup and then pour the drink over it; however, they ended up just pouring the boba over the drink. As for flavor, the Vietnamese crème brûlée had no crème brûlée flavor. All I tasted was coffee. On the positive side, the boba was sweet and chewy. No comment on the Thai tea or signature milk tea since they were for my kids.

The service was ok. The food was nothing special at all, not really fresh. Met a friend there to try it out. But don't think I would return. It's more for the young crowd trying to get work done, on their laptops. I ordered a croissant ham sandwich. I could have made it better at home. Workers were just fine.

We have been coming to Cafe La Vies for coffee for years now & unfortunately it has been more misses than hits with their drinks lately. Sometimes it's good but several times it wasn't. This time not only we waited extra long while everyone ordered after us got their drinks before us. Then our coffees were watery & tasted liked coffee flavor milk & actual expresso flavor. The cream on top was watery too. What a disappointment in their service & quality.

Overall rating: 4.5/5 I went to Cafe La Vies today, Sunday 3/24 around 11am. It wasn't my first time here but when I arrived I went straight to the kiosk to browse through their menu options. The worker at the front offered to take my order at the register, which I thought was nice, but I explained that I just wanted to look through their menu first and he was understanding. I ended up getting the Vietnamese Ube coffee. Service was fast, probably about 2-3 minutes, and when I went to get my order they said that they had accidentally made a Vietnamese Ube coffee by mistake earlier, and offered to give me the extra one in addition to the one I ordered, and mentioned that the ice might just be a little melted on the extra drink. I thought this was really sweet of them not only to give me the extra drink, but also because they could've easily just given me the drink they made by accident instead of making a new one, and I would've been none the wiser lol. But it's nice to see the integrity and I was really happy with the service. The reason for the half star deduction is because of the price - a large Vietnamese Ube coffee was $8.70 after tax, which is just about the same price as most of their other specialty drinks. I get that it's a specialty drink but I feel like that price is over the top.... However, this is one of the few Vietnamese coffee shops around and if you go here you probably are aware of the price but deem the coffee worth it anyway. I don't love the price but I am willing to pay it for a little treat once in a while. The coffee itself is pretty good, although personally it's a little on the strong side for me...not complaining, just that I usually don't drink super strong coffee, so if you aren't a super strong coffee drinker you could consider asking to make it extra sweet or less strong. Compared to Vinhouse, I would say Cafe La Vies is definitely less sweet. Overall, service is amazing, coffee is good, only thing that could be better is price, but hey, beggars can't be choosers. Definitely a great treat every once in a while!

This was my first time here and I thought the environment was really chill. I got a vanilla latte and a friend got a hazelnut Vietnamese coffee. The latte was rather milky and lacked any espresso taste while also being a tad bit too sweet. So word of advice for next time, I would get it less sweet and maybe get something stronger. As for the Vietnamese coffee, while it was supposed to taste like hazelnut, I tasted a hint of coconut. I'm not sure if my taste buds are out but that's what I tasted. It was really good overall though. Customer service was also really good, efficient as well.

Always hits the spot! Parking could be tricky in this busy plaza. Ambiance inside could be loud. Popular study spot for everyone and I always notice small groups of people for casual talking as well. They have a good music playlist! Order at the counter or on the kiosk on the right upon entering facility. Service is pretty quick for the drinks. Tried something new today: Iced Strawberry Green Tea. Yum! They add real strawberries and the green tea base is pretty subtle.

I finally got a chance to try Cafe La Vies after having it bookmarked for a while. My husband and I stopped by on a Saturday morning and were surprised to see that every table was occupied. Luckily we were taking our drinks to-go. The baristas were busy making drinks and there was a touchscreen to place orders. The ordering system was very straightforward; I ordered the Vietnamese Egg Coffee and my husband ordered the Vietnamese Ube. The drinks only took about 5 minutes to prepare. While we were waiting, I noticed that most of the customers seated were on their laptops, so I'd assume this is a popular study spot. Also shoutout to whoever set the playlist when we were there - Mariah Carey and Alicia Keys! The drinks were delicious, rich and smooth. I personally enjoyed the egg more than the ube, but I'd be interested to try other flavors as well.

I got the egg coffee foam with Vietnamese coffee. It's more on the sweeter side. We also ordered the ube frappe, it was also overly sweet for our tastebud. We did adjust the sweetness however still quite sweet. Cute little hangout place. Service was quick. Orders are made quickly.

I am so happy that I made the decision to go study there and find out that there's such a thing as my favorite drink!! I think I got something along the lines of cookies and cream with cold foam and it was delicious (it's like a nice blend of Vietnamese coffee but cookies and cream style with cold foam) I need to search up exactly what it was so I can get it again!! Customer service is amazing everyone is so sweet! And also it is a very cute location with a nice outdoor and indoor seating! I always feel like I'm leaving out something when I am leaving a review for a place I like lol

First off this is a cafe and the coffee was amazing! I heard that the Vietnamese Hazelnut Tiramisu was the way to go and that was not wrong. I will be back for more coffee. The atmosphere is great with tables for people who want to study and people who want to hang out and outside seating. My only complaint is the kiosk as the only way to order. I find it an issue at so many places. It slows the line down for one thing. For another, there's no personable contact, no way to ask questions. In particular at their kiosk, many of the items don't have pictures so there's no way to know what the options are, especially the baked goods. If you do order food, the croffle was tasty.

I really like this place, coffee is so good and it's such a nice place to study and do work.

On the pricey end, but one of the best places for Vietnamese coffee in Sacramento/Elk Grove, in my opinion. I have yet to be disappointed by the original Viet coffee, which I've had (& loved) both iced and hot. Their matcha, on the other hand, is not remarkable to me--the matcha flavor hardly comes through and I mostly taste milk. But for Viet coffee, this is the spot!
