First time visiting this restaurant from my myself &husband I'm so glad we ordered one plate to share just to get an idea how this shit was going to taste. Atmosphere was a little dark and dry for me. I felt there was no life in there.🤷Receive the food about a 1/2 hour. 40 minutes later, it was terrible. Had no flavor but I didn't like anything on my believe. We paid $47. It was terrible. I will never go back. Customer service sucks, No hospitality skills at all.❤️✌🏼 and that's not Southern to me. I'm from Louisiana, I know Southern food❤️✌🏼

We fell in due to Hunger last Monday Nite and cause the Youngest raves ova the Chicken Tenders and Fries. The Other Half went with the Fried Catfish,I ran with the Hot Link Plate and of course Youngest picked Chicken Tender...The Cat was decent,couldve fried a bit longer,French Fries were good,..Mother was Happy so...Then came Mine..So Small!!! Small Hot Links,Small Portions of Mac n Cheeae and Potatoe Salad..Food was Basic,Gotta try one more to see if they can bounce back!! Sorry No Pics...

I came here for the first time after a trip to Memphis and had a craving for soul food and didn't want to make my kitchen a mess.The food here was and continues to be amazing. The staff is so great it feels like home. I'm never disappointed. Everything I've tried is delicious. I'm a chef and do not spend my money where the food is not good. I'm a repeat customer here. No matter what I get it's delicious. My go to is red beans and rice, collared greens and catfish. This is THE SPOT for LEGIT SOUL FOOD in Sacramento! Soul food is slow food so be patient it's worth it. They even throw a great party on occasion.

I’m sorry to say this but please don’t waste your money food is terrible, it’s the quality of the food for me and taste, macaroni and cheese is very dry and lacks cheese and flavor, chicken is unseasoned and dry, the potatoe salad was terrible and really should have been put into a separate container just minced potatoes, pickles and onions and soupy consistency, the restaurant is uncomfortably hot inside which makes it hard to dine in, when I attended it was a family trying to enjoy there meal, I noticed they were equally not happy, the young lady that took our order at the front counter was nice which is why I gave a one star anymore I wouldn’t be providing an honest review. For the price of soul food at this establishment please invest in better quality ingredients and fresher products. My husbands hot link was burnt and cover in sauce to hide the taste, wanted to order a drink but when I saw how the drink looked from the family that was dining ice was already melting and it was served in a party cup. I won’t be back. I suggest make the drive to Roseville to Q1227 you won’t be disappointed.

The food was good, it was me and mother’s first time there. My mother got her food at a decent time but I waited awhile for mines in which I didn’t make a big deal out of. After receiving my order they had forgotten my drinks . I went back in to get them and was literally met at the door… by server which I didn’t understand what that was about. So I asked my for my drinks waited some more than got them than left. So I’m good I won’t be going back. We spent almost 100 dollars and I didn’t appreciate being met at the door as if I’d done something wrong. When they forgot my drinks ,after me waiting forever for my order. I try to support black businesses but this one is a no for me!

We want to this restaurant after church and food was pretty good. Service was ok. It seems like they were not ready for a large crowd. The people were kind but it took them forever to bring out our food it was no longer hot for a lot of our items.
