While the outside of Cookie's brings you back to a certain era of nostalgia, which called you to stop in the first place, I think there are better choices. Situated in East Sac, this place has the potential to be a great place. Food - typical but to be expected so not a knock against it. Kind of pricey for 3 hot dogs, a corn dog, and a couple of lemonades. I will say the hot dogs were commendable, flavor surprisingly good, not some tired old dog sitting in hot water, so kudos...
I've been coming to this place for years. Family owned and operated, excellent food! By far the best shakes in Sac and they have all the flavors! Finally decided to post a review as it is long over due!
Another Sacramento classic since 1963! If you know, you know. They are still lining up at 1:30 in the afternoon. Made to order, hot, fresh and so so good. The dining room is closed. It was rather small anyway, but they have tables and chairs set out around the building. All food is made to go and then find a spot to sit and enjoy.
