The cucumber salad at this place has been on my mind for the last 4 days. In a desperate attempt to recreate it, I used too much garlic and made a giant mess in my kitchen.
So I’m planning my next trip here this week so I can enjoy the amazing cucumber salad (so fresh, crunchy and garlicky), their pepper beef clay pot (sizzling rice at the bottom for the win and big portions), their spicy tofu (umm what?!? So crispy) and their awesome skewers (the pork belly is my favorite).
The space is small, so if you’re planning on dining in during peak times, you may want a back up or take it to go as they only have a handful of tables inside and a few tables outside. There is parking but it is shared with other business so can get busy.
The service is wonderful! The hostess/waitress was very friendly and everything came out relatively quick. The clay pot does take some time (they need to cook up the rice to get that awesome crunchy bottom) so place your order for that first, and then look at the appetizers and skewers as they come out fast.
This was my first trip but will not be my last to Da Fei Ge!

The food was okay, but the attitude was very bad. We ordered a soup, and the lady told us it wouldn’t be available until 5:30 pm. We arrived at 4:40 pm, but she didn’t ask whether we wanted to wait. She just said there wasn’t enough time and canceled the order. There was no water offered, no smile, nothing. Overall, a bad experience.

After eating at the worst and SLOWEST Japanese restaurant, we thought of switching places. And found this place IS A GEM! I mean literally, they served food within 5 min! Compared with most local restaurants, they have the BEST service! Maybe it’s because the language barrier I saw some English speakers in the reviews have prejudice and don’t get it 🤷🏻♀️ But they had THE BEST service comparing to some high-nosed and sloth-like Japanese Restaurant!

Lamb skewer is juicy, things are of great value.
This was what I imagine food in China would be like. It was unlike any Chinese food restaurant I’ve been to in the States. It was incredible! There weee so many ingredients and flavors I’ve never experienced. I can’t stop thinking about this place. It makes we want to visit China. I was so enchanted by this food experience, you HAVE to try this place!
Great place, skewers and clay pot rice.
I love the BBQ here especially the pork belly, squid, and chicken skin. I ordered the spicy version but it's not too spicy just a medium flavor that everyone can enjoy. The clay pot rice comes in a large pot and even the small size is still big for two people.

A small unique chinese street food restaurant in Downtown Sacramento. Please do not come if you are dare to eat chicken kidney/ liver/ heart, duck jaw to pigtail, sea snail or even ox pizzle. 10/10 for food quality and customer service.
Try their complimentary herb tea. It's really good light sweet herbal tea well combined with chinese seasoned food. They also have really good chinese soup with different type of protein which you may freak out to read the name. We always want to try everything and bill is always $100 for 2.
Be ready for that small - small skewer add up to big bill. But trust me. It's really good to try and worth money.
Completely satisfied!
Tip: please call ahead to make sure store's opened for weekdays. Sometime slow business, the owner closed a little bit earlier than closing time posted online.
Excellent customer service, food is amazing! Super yummy, juicy and very well seasoned ! Every time I come here I eat well!prices are great too !
Food is okay. Can’t have just plain rice so not really a family dinner kind of place. More of a quick bite and talk kinda place.
Delicious food! Service not a priority but it feels and tastes like home. Get the clay pot!! Big enough for two people to share. Lamb skewers are delicious! A bit on the pricey side though.
