I read the mixed reviews, so I decided to try this spot myself. Unfortunately, I won't be back. The service was good, but the chicken was dry and tough like others mentioned. The sushi rolls that came with the combo weren't much better. Admittedly, I did come in late for lunch, around 2:30, and that's always risky at a grilled chicken spot. I'm bummed it wasn't better as I was hoping I'd found a new spot to hit up when I'm in the area.

Great value for what you get, and the meal is enjoyable. The people here are super nice, too. I want to give 5 stars, but I think the chicken was overcooked because it was quite dry, and the teriyaki sauce was kinda bland. Overall a good experience though.

This was my second time here. I ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl with white meat and a tempura veggie combo. Total was $17 and I tipped 10% on top. Big dude didn't even say thank you, just like the last time I came in. My food comes out in about 10mins, so not too long of a wait. I get home and open up my bowl and the chicken is dry as hell. It didn't even look or taste like chicken. Had a jerky texture to it. I'm pretty sure I've seen the same imitation chicken at SF market. On top of that I get a small a** cup of teriyaki sauce that isn't even filled up. For $17 they couldn't throw in at least 1 FILLED container?? Now for the tempura combo, it was decent and had THREE sauces. Sriracha, soy sauce and spicy mayo. This is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of one.

I always come here, but have to say when I'm working and on the road I have stopped at other Teriyaki places and no One ..comes close to the combo plates DAWA is serving up. Flavor, quantity, and the sides ..All I have to say is try them and you won't be disappointed.. the only thing I would change is NOTHING!!! There plates areevery time I have been here !!I would give them 10 stars for sure if I could. So support your local small business that has great food...

Loved this place! We made a reservation but they were ready for us when we showed up 30 minutes early. The food came out as it was ready and served for sharing. Would definitely visit again if in town

Food was good my go to is the spicy pork best entree on the menu. They also have other items on the menu full of flavor. The shrimp teriyaki was fire too.

I can not be more disappointed and saddened that I've spent money on some chicken that went to waste because it was sooo dry. The beef plate was okay however. But WOW! I can not believe I was served with that dry rock hard chicken. Of course I've not called to complain because I'm just beyond speechless, but I will not be coming here again....

Serving old short ribs are never a good thing to do. One and done with this place. No amount of teriyaki sauce can cover the taste of old meat. At least the rice tasted like rice.

Awesomely priced and delicious Teriyaki. The spicy pork plate was great and my kiddos liked the chicken teriyaki bowls.

Came here tonight for quick dinner, did not disappoint. Food is tasty and the customer service was very pleasant. Carry out was quick and efficient and the servings are huge for cost. We will add this to our local quick dinner spot list. We ordered 2 spicy pork plates and 2 chicken teriyaki for the kids. The kids were able to split one order and now we have leftovers for tomorrow.

Really enjoyed their chicken teriyaki on noodles. Very affordable and high quality.

The price for their portions are outstanding! I'd take this restaurant over I Love Teriyaki. Hole in the wall restaurant located at a strip mall. Hungry, I looked around A1 Salon and got curious so I came in here instead of getting street tacos from a Mexican market in the strip. It did not disappoint! The consistent quality of food is good. The availability of their menu items were limited when I came in but I don't blame them. It's a 2 person operating restaurant without the long wait time. They accommodate take out, phone orders and dine in (although, the food is still in a clamshell plate like pictured).
