The only negative was the crab cakes, a few shells and the flavor was the best. Everything else was good.

Dawsons is always a great Dinner and John our favorite server is amazing, remembers drinks, what we like to eat and is very personable. We always eat here when we stay at Sacramento, Hyatt Regency! Dave K California

I love a good steakhouse, and had high hopes for Dawson's. While the setting and ambiance were outstanding, and our waiter was exceptionally nice and friendly, the food and service was abysmal. Drink orders extremely delayed and then screwed up. Meal orders screwed up, with steaks given to the wrong people, and at the wrong temperature. I ordered mine medium, but it came blackened and tough like a piece of old shoe leather. Also, ribeyes should not be such a slim 1/2" thick (if I'm being generous). To be fair, this is not the first steakhouse I've visited recently where a ribeye was so ridiculously thin (and consequently extremely overpriced), so maybe that is a sad, pathetic trend these days, but I won't be returning here. Would love to hear any recommendations from other diners for a good steakhouse.

Dawson's never disappoints! Chef Simone makes thee best Cioppino we have ever tried. Definitely will return.

I had the house salad which I thought was tasty but a little on the wet side? I also had the Seafood Cioppino. It was very delicious and enough for my lunch the following day. I would definitely go back.

Okay, if you're advertised as high end, charging high end prices, I would expect your steaks being high end. This is not the case. I was disappointed with this place. I would rate it as average, on par with places like outback steakhouse. I got the rib eye, medium rare, it took them way too long to get it out, steak was cold. The taste was ok, and yes they did cook it medium rare. Overall I would rate it as average. Totally not what I was expecting from an 80 dollars steak. This place is not comparable to Mortons or Ruth's Cris. Their crab cakes were too salty. On a positive note the server was super nice, the lobster tail add on was delicious, and their cocktails was pretty good. In summary I would recommend Outback steakhouse over this place, you'd probably enjoy it more and pay a lot less!

The food was excellent. The bread was very soft and the filet was tender. Our waiter John was amazing.

What can I say? It's a high end steakhouse that definitely justifies its price tag. One of the best steaks I've had the pleasure of eating. Thanks for being a great place for my pops and I to enjoy a great dinner!

Filet & salmon were delicious. Pinot was a good choice to go with the filet. Salad could almost be a meal itself.

We go to Dawson's before the Off Broadway Plays. Vallet parking and an excellent dining experience every time.
