Welp I loved this place when they were in West Sac. Their ice cream was seriously above all the rest. Then they closed down posting on their insta they couldn't pay rent in the spot anymore. Then moved to a move expensive spot on K Street. Then surprise, they couldn't make it their either. Their ice cream was not as good I felt when they moved to K street anyways. But anyways now they shut their business with short notice and I have $90 left in ice cream to redeem that I never will from punch cards they sold. Many emails gone unanswered for the refund they claimed to give the punch card holders. So small claims it is for me. Unfortunately I feel scammed from them. Their instagram claims they r trying to become a pop up or something but we shall see if that happens. I sure hope they do so they can sell their ice cream again. I really liked it more than all other places. Unfortunately the owners cannot run a business I guess

It was 102 degrees outside, so it made sense to get ice cream! I'm no ice cream aficionado, but I'm an adventurous eater, so DMC was the perfect spot! They have daily rotating flavors, so every visit will be different. You can check out their instagram to find out what they're currently serving. I tasted the more "unique" flavors, like cornbread and salted egg yolk potato chip. They tasted fine, but the flavor profiles didn't stand out too much for me. Meanwhile, the more "basic" flavors like sea salt and ube were strong. As in not subtle at all. It was amazing! I opted to do a half and half single scoop of both flavors, which was pretty generous in serving. The only downside was that it was so hot outside that my ice cream immediately started melting. I should've gotten it in a cup instead, but the mess was totally worth

Oh my yes, hands down the best ever ice cream cone, bar none! Going w-a-y back in time, but reminds me of Currie's, the iconic SoCal ice cream shop in the day! Thanks Lucas and Gabe; your service was superb. (‍ Hi Gerine, hope to catch you next time; btw got some of your choc chip cookies--FAB)

I'm super lucky to have had the opportunity to taste many things from DMC chef over the weekend. She made a pecan cheesecake thing that was one of the best things I've ever tasted IN MY LIFE but it's not on the menu so I'm not basing my review on it. Here's the bottom line-the treats are incredible and unique and the employees are friendly and passionate. Top quality ingredients are used and it's a really fun taste exploration! 5 stars across the board

Open until 11pm on Saturdays, we hit up DMC after the concert at the SAFE PAC. Parked at the DOCO East Garage and walked over; it's next to Darling Aviary across the tracks from Sauced and Flatstick Pub. I never got a chance to try it when the West Sacramento location was still open but was always following them on social and intrigued by their flavor creations like the Japanese Neopolitan (matcha, red bean, black sesame). Tried to visit in February 2021 but their Covid hours were shortened. For Saturday 06/04/22, their flavors were Vanilla, Chocolate, Lemon Pie, Vegan Chocolate with Brownies, Nutty Buddy Crunch, Raspberry Ribbon, Cornbread & Honey, Lucky Charms, Malted Cookies & Cream, Cardamom Coffee, Thai Tea, Chamomile Kumquat, Red Velvet, Lavender/Honey/Bee Pollen, Cannoli, and Cherry Pie. You can do a single scoop as half and half (two flavors), but I decided on a double scoop of the Thai Tea and the Cardamom Coffee in a cup. Sonia got a double scoop of the Lemon Pie and the Cherry Pie. I didn't try any samples since it was almost closing time. My favorite of the two was the cardamom coffee -- added a fragrant sweet citrusy spice flavor to the coffee. I'm not sure how often they change their flavor menus, maybe daily. Anyway, hella good ice cream. Next time I will definitely try a waffle cone or make it a sundae.

I absolutely love this ice cream shop. I love that they have different flavors every time I step through the doors (which isn't often). I work around the block and it's deadly just thinking/imaging how close DMC is in proximity to my office building. I'm practically drooling as I type this. Anyway, during my last visit here with some friends, I opted for early grey and salted cookies and cream as a sundae. Oh em gee friends, this mixture was super delicious. I was pinching myself for not opting to get the largest sundae I could purchase. What I absolutely love about this place is that the workers are super friendly, you can ask for samples, especially if you're torn on what ice cream flavors you want to choose since there's so many flavors to choose from. This place is small, maybe a few spots to eat inside but there's also a few spots to eat on the tables in the outside patio. If you're in the mood to people watch, the outside patio may be the better option. Anyway, there are so many options to choose from besides scoops of ice cream and having it as a sundae. Choose to your heart's content. Trust me, you'll love your concoction. There were so many other flavors I wanted to try but we did have to get back to work. Plus, since we just had lunch and I was already super full, I was really pushing it having a couple of scoops of ice cream and making it into a sundae. The toppings are a plenty and you can choose what you want. My faves are obviously whipped cream, hot fudge, peanuts and crushed oreos but to each their own. Stop by this place. It's across the street from Sauced, Starbucks and Beach Hut Deli. It's next door to Darling Aviary and near Tiger. There are many options for eating and hanging out so make your way over here. You won't be disappointed.

This place definitely exceeded my expectations! As we were walking by this place, we thought that it was just going to be another ice cream place. But we decided to check it out, since we were feeling adventurous. And I'm glad that we did. The vibe of the whole place was very animated and friendly. But the flavors were the ones that stood out to us. We got the bubblegum fudge and the sea salt flavor, and both were excellent. It's definitely not your every day ice cream place, so definitely check this place out if you're ever in the Downtown Sacramento area!

I love local ice cream shops, and Devil May Care has the flavors for everyone in your life. I usually come in for a Friday treat for my walk home from the office, so there is rarely a line. Very instagrammable shop inside, and a good amount of seating outside right on the K street plaza. The flavors are clearly posted up on the wall, as well as in the cases. The level of friendliness varies, but they do get some awful customers. Their IG is pretty funny. I always get one of the vegan options due to dietary limits, and they are very flavorful. The blueberry was so rich and full of antioxidants it shimmers with deep purple blue. The strawberry was also super good, tasting fresh from the market. The vanilla was good, and the irish cream was a delight without the dairy. Not a huge fan of the sugar used in these, i think it is alcohol based as I don't imbibe. Tons of great, diverse, classic and interesting ice cream flavors available in a variety of sizes at reasonable prices for the location. Come downtown for a tasty cold treat at Devil May Care!

Lots of interesting flavors, nice owners, worth trying. Free samples too! It was at the end of my walk so super glad I discovered this joint.

I have a mixed feeling about this ice cream parlor...some staff members were kind but there was one in particular who rubbed me the wrong way. She sat at the registered ringing us up and had a "I don't want to be here" and just flat out rude attitude. I was taking a photo of my ice cream and I happened to say I didn't like the background to my friend and she looked at me and said, "maybe take it with some of the art, then you'd be promoting local artists" and I had no idea it was local art so I asked, "oh, they're all local artists?" And she replayed, very snarky like, "everything in here is local..." uhhhhh okay, well it's my first time here and probably my last because of your attitude. The other gal behind the counter was great though. She offered me samples of just about everything and answered all of my questions. Their flavors are unique but they do have some standard flavors like coffee and rainbow sherbet too. After sampling a few, I didn't think many stood out enough though. I did really like that they offered a half sized scoop. Personally, I thought it was the perfect treat! Given the bad attitude, I'm not usually in the area and their much more unique flavors...probably wouldn't return. But give it a try! And remember...EVERYTHING inside is local.

I've been visiting this place since it was at its previous location. In my opinion I did like the old location better as far as the crowd is concerned. Their ice cream is fantastic, definitely the kind of place I'll wait for flavors for. Root beer float is unmatched. The sea salt paired with the chocolate - wonderful. And their fun flavors are always - different. Not for everyone but definitely an adventure. They're similar to a Ben and Jerry's but more quirky. Definitely love them. I do agree that the staff could be more welcoming or more "ice cream shop" like- however, it's the food industry - they are so over worked and understaffed - talk to them and you'll find out they are very nice! Will continue to visit this place and keep bringing my friends and family.

I am so bummed to give 3 stars because I had been dying to give this place a shot. The name is catchy and their flavors are not the regular Baskin Robbins flavors that are so boring. While on date night we dined at Sauced and I noticed Devil May Care across the street and was like Yes! We are going there for dessert for sure! Upon walking in we were not greeted, the staff were all sitting in a corner just hanging out. Finally someone walked over and she looked and sounded like she was so bothered she had to get off her stool and do her job. We asked for recommendations and again, she was short and overall rude. I chose Lucky Charms, she put the cup on the counter and pushed it at me and said you need to take your own ice cream and go pay over there. Ummm ok??? I don't know who peed in her Cheerios that morning but her attitude turned me off from this place. The ice cream itself was lack luster and nothing to write home about, it tasted like Lucky Charms but it wasn't as sweet as you'd expect. They do have some really neat sounding flavors tho I must have just picked the wrong one.

Really cool place, decorated with modern art throughout. The location is super convenient right across from DOCO. I recommend the Matcha C+C. -Anthonyxibarrax

Devil May Care is SO good. Like, "let's get ice cream" might get a tepid response, but "let's go to DMC" is always gonna get the people going. It's next-level. They have a range of rotating flavors, many of which are unexpected and still, undoubtedly, EXQUISITE. (Don't worry, there are normie flavors too. They're also outstanding.) You can check out the current flavor roster on the shop instagram, @dmcicecream. Furthermore, staff is chill, the shop walls feature local artists, and there's a free sticker bucket. What's not to love?
