Don Quixote's Mexican Grill

The atmosphere was entirely devoid of energy, with only one other table of four patrons aside from the two of us. Shockingly, our meals were brought to the table in less than five minutes, which unequivocally suggests that this establishment is far from a 'made to order' restaurant.
The quality of the food was abysmal, to the point where we could hardly manage more than two bites before abandoning the effort altogether. Regrettably, I must address a particularly distressing observation: our server appeared quite disheveled, as if personal hygiene had been neglected for some time—her hair, face, and clothing were noticeably unkempt. How this restaurant manages to remain operational is beyond comprehension.

First time here. Went early to get a breakfast burrito. The guy said , this will be the best burrito you've ever had.

Ordered a bacon breakfast burrito. The bacon wasn't there ton of potatoes and mushy. Idk I took 3 bites and threw it away.

I was searching for catered tacos for a party and came across this place. I had never been but read through the good reviews, so went for lunch one day to check it out. Food was so amazing that I booked the taco buffet the next day! The food was an absolute hit at the party and there was plenty for everyone to go back for seconds and even take some home. This will definitely be our new spot for Mexican food.

Worse food. Mexican? The beans were like out of a can and to the plate. Oh God never again.

More expensive than id thought but portions are huge and delicious.

I felt like I was in Mexico when I walked in. Loved that transport of cultural experience. I had the meatball soup, it was tasty, with a side of tortillas for a buck fifty, floury and hot.

I’d give this place like a 4.5 stars in all, round it up to 5.

Was super excited to try this place out! I was impressed when I walked in the door at the fast service, the wonderful smells that filled the air and how yummy the food looked! My friends ordered burritos that looked so amazing!! I ordered the quesabirria tacos with the consume, and I was asked if I wanted everything, I said yes. Everything meant cilantro and onions. I can appreciate the flavors from both the cilantro and the onion but in moderation. I was so excited to get my food, and from the looks of it, I couldn't wait to take a bite! I was disappointed to bite into what tasted like an onion taco. There was SO much onion. Like, it was ridiculous. Also, very little meat, BUT as I bit into it, there was a chunk of something in my first taco that was so gross that I had to spit it out. I looked at the chunk, and it looked like meat, but it certainly didn't taste like meat. Blehh!! I was totally skeptical to eat anymore, so I opened up all 3 of my tacos and emptied out all the onions. Thankfully, there were no more chunks of anything. I enjoyed the dipping sauce and the cheese in the tacos. I will go back but I won't order that dish again unless I get it without onions.

The food was fantastic... absolutely enormous burrito with all the fixings you could ask for. If you order anything fried it is made to order. Also the salsa bar....AYCE chips and tasty salsas for free...can't beat that. Shout out to Santiago who was one of the nicest employees I have ever met. I will definitely be going back.

I love love love coming here, it’s the best Mexican food I’ve ever had in Sacramento! I’ve tried a bunch of other places but this one, quality, atmosphere, and flavor never disappoint! We came in this morning 30 mins till lunch started but they were incredibly accommodating and still made the lunch things we had wanted

First time ever that my nachos had more toppings than chips. Very generous serving! The margarita was good, but price slightly too high. I'll be back to try the breakfast burrito.
