Legitimately the best burger and atmosphere I’ve experienced in Sacramento( or anywhere else I have ever lived). Emphasis on the burger. Absolutely amazing.

I love the pastrami sandwich on toasted rye; it's delish! One of the best in town. A nice casual place and servers are very friendly and helpful!

Zach aka Bird is the best!
Great Gouda Burgers and selections of beers.
Kids Meal was great for a picky eater.
The burgers and side portions are large and very tasty, good selection of beer. I’ve lived in the area for 43 years and visit a couple times a year, however not sure if I’ll be going back, $75 for my wife and I to have burgers and a beer is a little ridiculous. Burgers and Brew on R St, has Niman Ranch Beef and the bacon jalapeño burgers are $3.50 less than a regular burger at Dukes. I want to support local but $21 burgers and $10 beers….not the go to.
excellent hard ciders

I went to Dukes yesterday both to eat and watch a college bowl game of a school I went to. I had starved all day. I ordered a Duke burger and french fries. The french fries there used to be excellent - thin like McDonald’s super hot, super crisp and you could taste the potato in there. These french fries were much different. They were fatter with a pebbly course texture and just soaked with oil. I ate two and shoved them aside. With all that oil in there if I had eaten a whole basket I would’ve felt sick to my stomach. The Duke burger was fine. There were two guys working there. One guy was a good guy. The tatted up guy I found to be very condescending. I paid my bill, but I didn’t leave as good of a tip as I would usually leave because of the french fries and my negative experience with the tatted up guy. I left immediately and went to a different place to spend my money and watch the game.
