I like this place took my Fiancée here for his bday last year. Booked a party of 10 simple process. This year I was trying to make a reservation for my bday dinner party 10-15 it’s almost been two weeks and I haven’t received a follow call, I’ve called numerous of times. Guess I’ll have to find restaurant which sucks.

I have been here twice. If I had submitted my review after my first visit, I probably would have given them 5 stars. I came here about 2 years ago and I remembered that we all walked out with very good things to say about the food, which is why I thought it would be the perfect place to take my BF for his birthday. This time, the food was a bit disappointing. Grilled Thick-cut bacon with house BBQ sauce - 5/5, sweet, tender, and delicious Steak Tartare 0/5 - it didn't look fresh, in fact, it looked dried and lacked flavor. In hindsight, we probably shouldn't have eaten it. Don't want to go into too much details, but both my BF and I paid for it. Crispy Pig's Head Terrine, Violet Cherry Sauce 2/5 - I love headcheese and the manager allotted that that's pretty much what it is. The salad was great but the pig's head terrine lacked flavor and was not crispy. Portobello Fries, Herb Aioli 4/5 - the Portobello fries would probably not be a hit if not for the sauce. That sauce is a 6/5... best sauce that I have ever tasted. Pork Belly Burnt Ends 4/5 - this wasn't bad but the bacon was definitely better. If you have to choose only one, I would go with the bacon. Caesar Salad 5/5 - I was able to taste the anchovy, which is what I love. Perfectly seasoned. Lamb Porterhouse Chops* 2/5 - the potatoes were great, the sauce was a miss. The lamb itself was over-cooked and a little on the dry side. Ribeye 5/5 - the first one that came out was super salty and we both did something that we have never done before, which was send it back. It was so salty, it was not edible. They did bring out a new one (with the quickness) and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly! Sweet Fire Cauliflower 5/5 - these were delicious! Drinks: my first time ordering the Paper Airplane at a restaurant and it was made perfectly!!! I would go back just for that drink, alone! Our Server, Eric, was excellent. The busser girl was a little too ambitious. We were still working on our starters when she wanted to collect our small plates. The ambience was kind of romantic and cozy but it was pretty loud in there, even though the place was not packed. They do not have their own restrooms, you have to use the one that they share with the hotel next door. Tip: for cheaper parking and easy access, make sure there is not an event or King's game scheduled at the Golden1 Center. Unless you are going to the event and want to grab dinner beforehand.

Food was okay, service was okay. If you are hungry it is fine. Would not consider it a place to make a destination.

I took a friend, who was visiting from Long Beach, here for her birthday. Sunday night March 17th. While the server was great and the food tasted delicious there were five incidents that resulted in giving them one star... 1. We arrived around 9pm and the restaurant was not busy, yet we were asked to wait for 15 minutes. 2. The manger came over and asked us about ourselves and the reason for our visit. While normally I love these sort of interactions the whole time it felt like a job interview. It was so awkward lol 3. We ordered the 1/2 dozen oysters and only received 5 oysters. We told the server and they fixed the situation. 4. Now listen to this. This is where it gets wild. My friend and I were sat at a booth near the door closest to J St. A deranged individual walked into the restaurant and up to my friend and mumbled something. We couldn't understand what he said. He kept getting closer to my friend. He was about a foot away from her and asked for a charger. She pulled away and he immediately touched her face and said "You have something on your face. Let me get it." Then left. The staff did not do anything to intervene in the situation. My friend and I were completely stunned. We pushed through dinner. The server asked us what happened and we explained. Two mangers came up to us and asked us about the situation. One of the managers apologized for my friend being touched and called it assault and said they'd address it. 5. Echo and Rig brought us comped mash potatoes as to remedy my friend being touched. We didn't touch the potatoes. We already had potato chips with our steak entrees.... Here's the wrap... The server was great. I still tipped as it wasn't the servers fault. The food was great. But after this situation I will not be back. This location is not safe. We were so stunned and our minds kept going to what if he had a weapon. Incidents are constantly being reported on the news of shootings and stabbings in this area. :(

Best brunch in Sacramento. We went for a birthday brunch and they were so nice to provide us with a complimentary toast, the bubbly was also the best bubbly i've ever had a brunch service so we purchased a few bottles. We got the steak sandwich (amazing) the grilled cheese (also amazing but very heavy and over it after a few bites) and a breakfast sandwich which I did not try but looked yummy. The potato chips the sammies come with were also super delicious. I've gone back a few more times and it's always a great experience. The decor is also gorgeous.

If you are looking for service, ambiance and an amazing dining experience, this is your place. Martin -pronounced Mar-teen, was simply the best! He was funny, engaging and probably the best part of our evening. From the moment you walk in and get handed off from the wonderful hostess, to the manager coming to the table and greeting us with some bubbles for an anniversary, to an impressive well run kitchen...we will be back again! Very well run restaurant! And we will ask for Martin! A wonderful evening!

It was a slow start. Our reservations was at 6 we got sat at 630. We sat outside while we waited. It was a teally busy night. We were greeted with a smile. We went in and sat by the bar until our table was ready. Once at our table there was a wait before we were served anything. one of the waiters can over to ask if we had been acknowledged. I stated no not at the moment but i do see you are busy. The manager Shawn came over advised that i think his name was Matt was going to be our server. We waited a short while and Matt brought us waters snd our appotizers. Everything was so good as usual! My daughter was excited to taste her shortrib grilled cheese . She said it was sooo good. The cabbage was delicious and the salmon. My favorite everytime I visit is the thick cut bacon and portobello fries!!!!! I want to thank sheryl for making our visit amazing. Everyone was so nice and attentive once we were assisted. I will definitely refer this place for dinner. This is the service thst im use to. Must been an off night the night i went initially...

I was excited to try Echo and Rig for my first time. I made reservations at 6:00 through Opentable two weeks before so we could have dinner before the Lakers game. We arrived and 6:00 and our table wasn't ready. 15 minutes later our table was still not ready and we ended up leaving. Really disappointed they dropped the ball on this one. Will not be returning to this restaurant.

Bartenders were wonderful and food was outstanding. We had a great night with a mix of so many yummy appetizers and entrees to share. Apps: cauliflower, risotto, brussel sprouts, and portobello fries were all SO good Entree's: highly recommend the shrimp and artichokes I couldn't give it 5 stars even though most service was spectacular, our server was slow, I mean really slow, and continuously felt the need to mansplain how restaurants operate. Thankfully the bar was close by for us to get our own drinks and Mark the bus person was ready to help as much as possible.

“medium” steak was way overdone. I asked for extra sauce to try and redeem it since it was so dry and it didn’t come. Had to ask again until it finally came. Took so long they had already cleared all the other plates until I got the sauce. Slow service food sub par . Over $400 bill for 4 people and have had better meals at a taqueria.

We were able to visit and had a great meal, with amazing and attentive service. The Ribeye was very tender as was the Bavette. The risotto was super tender and very flavorful. The appetizer of thick-cut bacon was amazing! I finished off with a super creamy vanilla ice cream. A great experience and special thank you to Sheryl for a wonderful dinner and for being accommodating with our late flight reservation changes.
