My dinner was well prepared. I had the pork chop. It was cooked perfectly. This was a work event. The table was large, and the server never made an error. That is important to me. Great job!

I recently went on a CA state & national park trip and it wouldn't have been complete without a visit to a Sacramento favorite with my friend/partner in dining.
We kept the tradition alive and enjoyed an incredible dinner. Every time we go it's exciting to see what changes have been made to the menu.
▪️ Truffle Brioche 👏 Everything about this was decadent and so delicious. Truffles are infused into the butter AND shaved on top. Warm fluffy brioche + salty creaminess from the butter. ▪️Wood Fired Bone Marrow with oxtail jam, coriander salad and toasted sourdough 👏 ▪️ Coconut Poached Halibut with trumpet mushrooms, toasted almonds, ginger, and yuzu kosho oil ▪️ Wood Fired Beef Tenderloin with asparagus, Bordelaise, truffle butter and crispy onions ▪️ Dessert 👏
Julian, our server who could easily be Common's doppelganger, remembered us from my last visit in Dec 2023 (we were impressed) and asked if he could choose dessert for us. We willingly obliged and he comped us a chocolate cake with Vietnamese coffee ice cream, crushed toffee, and raspberry jam pearls.

My favorite restaurant where I truly enjoy the creations from the chefs, but unfortunately it was ruined by your bartender. Is Friday night and it wasn’t as busy as usual but we found a spot at the bar, we order champagne and the caviar, it took 40 minutes to get the caviar so I canceled the rest of my dinner, better yet, the bartender was condescending and made a bunch of excuses for the delay. Thanks Amelia, hopefully you will get some training!

Just being honest and frank. Over-rated. Food good but nothing here that wowed the palate. I can only say that what others have posted is certainly not true. Obviously they want to fill the place up but the dining experience is mediocre at best and the atomosphere certainly doesn't warrant a 5 star rating. How about sticking to your dress code, and actually having staff act according to Michelin star acclaim. I would have given it a 3 if not for the manager actually acting as if it were a high end restaurant.

Nice place for sure, but the praise ends there. food wandered between strange and disgusting: poorly put together salads, we ate 2-3 bites before giving up; really disgusting dishes - salmon in a tasteless and strangely sugary sauce, I tasted it enough. disappointing service and bordering on incompetence. but the prices are the usual ones for what American "fine dining" expects. that is, very high. To be avoided

I’ve been previously and it was positive but the hostess we had on Oct 12 was just horrible and the experience ruined my wife’s birthday night. We will never come back after this. Hire someone who can think beyond just typing into an iPad.

James was absolutely amazing. I wish I had a pocket version of him. Really knew how to navigate suggestions according to my palate. Helped me course myself with light app to rich entree. Very knowledgeable. Wine pairing was on par. Food was nothing less than spectacular. Would come back to Sacramento just for this experience again

This is definitely one of the top dining experiences I've had. The food was amazing, but what really made it outstanding was the service by our server James C. He made great recommendations, was super accommodating, and offered great wine paintings. This is perhaps the best service I have ever received while dining.
