I have driven past here multiple times on my way to work and there is always a line. Today I decided to stop and try it out. It was reasonably full of customers. The odd part, was there was no interaction with the staff. The three people behind the drink counter seemed like they were actively avoiding acknowledging that we were there. There were pads for ordering and paying. It completely removed the human element from our interaction. This is not the kind of environment that I would expect from a neighborhood establishment. The pastries were excellent, but the vibe was 'go away'. I doubt I will be back despite how close it is to my house.

I love Faria Bakery’s pastries. The almond croissant is good but too flaky for me, and not enough almond paste. Pain a chocolate is amazing. Their tarts and cream puffs are always spectacular and they base the flavors on the season. I also like their milk bread. Their lattes are alright. I like the atmosphere inside is cute and has a lot of good seating.
I find their service to be a hit or miss. Sometimes the workers there greet you and are nice and sometimes they don’t and are closed off.

Amazing Pastries. A Little Pricy but worth it! 😋 FYI Faria Moved - Next door. Lots more seating! Inside and out. Huge outdoor patio

The lonely star is based on an exchange I had with the owner a few weeks ago. 😔

Hey Faria Team, please let them know I’m still waiting for him to reply to my message on LinkedIn. I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, so I’ll update the review once I hear back. Truly hoping I can change it to 5 stars because it really is one of the best bakeries in Sacramento.

We went to this bakery twice on a weekend. It's always busy inside but we prefer sitting outdoors on nice days anyway.
The staff is busy but friendly. The coffee is decent and the pastries top notch. The only complaint I have is that they always run out of the best items on the menu around 10am. This is a place for early birds...
Highly recommend!

They take bread seriously! It's a little pricy, but the quality of the loaves (especially the Olive Polenta bread) is amazing. Grab a Morning Bun and you won't regret it.

Saw this place online, looked like a cute spot to grab coffee and pastries so we went. They actually moved buildings so it’s not the cool looking skinny building anymore. It’s the building next to it. The vide inside this place was dead. There was a lady making drinks, didn’t look up to welcome or greet us. Didn’t bother to ask us if we needed any help. We saw they had 3 self service tablets so we ordered our drinks. They were out of pastries already since it was 11AM so we couldn’t try any. There was NO interaction with the employee behind the counter. When she called my name for the drinks I was trying to say thanks but she turned away quickly as if trying to avoid contact. This kind of behavior is what’s going to kill the business. Our drinks tasted fine but might have been better with friendlier service. We are trying to support local and small businesses but this kind of experience makes me want to stick with my usual spot.

Wish I would have taken a photo of the almond croissant.. just happened not to. The croissant was pretty over cooked, overall super crispy throughout. Pretty disappointing since it cost $7.. I love a good croissant ..buttery and flakey with a nice moist interior and don’t mind paying for it. But for an over cooked super crispy croissant it’s not worth the hype.

Grabbed a loaf of the Olive Cornmeal (or polenta? ) bread to bring to a dinner party. It was amazing-would love to return and try more things!

Okay, so the bread is always a little on the dark side and the servers can be sassy. It doesn’t change the fact that everything is delicious! I have had their bread many times and have never felt it was too “burned” to enjoy. It can make it slightly bitter around the crusts and a little more chewy, but it’s still edible and enjoyable. I got a piece of miso toast with jam to go this morning and regardless of its color, every bite was fantastic.
