The restaurant is very nice. Up to date. The issue that I have is with the food. The pork nachos were unseasoned, no salt, had a good amount of the fake cheese you would find at a child’s baseball game, plus the pork was a major let down.Moving on to the steak sandwich, the steak had an odd flavor to it. Well cooked but yet the taste of it was not pleasant. With all of these food issues I cannot recommend this place. Very disappointing

Went last night around 9pm the food was meh it could have been better. We’ve been to this location before and it was way better, our server didn’t really interact with us we only found out her name by looking at the check. She checked on us three times never asked about our food, I ordered a lemonade and it was super sour so I asked for a little sweetener she took it to the bar and touched my straw with her hands to mix it. She sat on her phone in the back for a good 30 minutes. Like understand work maybe boring but damn girl.

I've been to Public House many times and also ate here with my kids. Today, January 12th, 2024, @ 3pm I decided to go here to get something to drink and eat. I ordered my drink and then was asked to put a card on "file" to me it was asking to prepay. I travel a lot around California and have never been asked to keep a card on file at a restaurant. Now, I have been to many bars that keep your card when you want an open tab. It just felt weird, and I waited around to see when other people ordered to see if they were asked for their card. No, they were not asked. Very disappointing Public House Downtown.
Food was delicious we had a party of 9 and everyone loved it. The menu is much smaller right now than it apparently used to be; definitely very little in terms of options for children beyond pizza. Great place to watch a game and grabs drinks with higher quality food than the average pub. Waitress did hear my order wrong but they corrected it quickly and my food came out pretty fast. Would recommend.Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome but not very many food options for kids.

Delicious food, a comfortable atmosphere, and excellent service! The happy hour deal is excellent! The prosciutto pizza and the Caesar salad were delicious at a reasonable price! Will come back again!
