Yes but I don’t like that I’m calling leaving voicemail to schedule a reservation and nobody calls back! I call today to explain to the lady Im looking for a reservation for a large party and she like ummm I don’t think that’s going to happen everybody calling for that day. I explain I have been calling leaving voicemails no one has called me back. I was blew off, my information was taken so I hope to receive a call back, but like the rep said I doubt it..
I'm a pretty picky eater and I have a great pallet so this review is heartbreaking. First timer and have been in Sacramento for many years. Decided to give it a try and see what the hype was all about. Ordered online and pick up was immediate within 10m. I thought wow, that's pretty cool to fix my dish so quickly. I ordered the chicken tenders and fries AND a smothered chicken meal with collards and macaroni n cheese.. Purchased a side of "yams" for additional $6..okay so basic chicken tenders (frozen Tyson chicken) nothing special along a bed of cold fries. I don't know what I was expecting for the price except maybe fresh chicken and hot fries. The smothered chicken was awful. The roux was so thick and pasty it was almost inedible. It was a big goop of unflavored flour paste and the chicken was all slightly pink but yet tough. Mac n cheese was decent, greens were lacking any flavor and the turkey was TUFF. The yams were giving "canned" cubes but were flavored decently. The vibe during the pick up was welcoming so there's that. BUT THE FOOD WAS A EPIC FAIL on this day.

There are a lot of good chicken places popping up, but this one has always been really, really good. It's a heavy meal (if I have my way that is) so it's not something I can do frequently, but man oh man is it a treat every time. Plenty of street parking and neat little shops to check out.
Try at least once.

Great for lunch. We had a group of 6 and had to wait about ~20mins for a table. Our server was good. The drinks were good. My favorite on the menu were the fried green tomatoes. Very fresh and the breading was crisp. The shrimp and grits were ok. The smothered chicken was delicious!

The smothered pork chop was to die for. The fried chicken brings you back to life to repeat the experience. The sides my wife and I had all rocked. Most places the sides underwhelm. Not here. Red beans and rice, sweet potatoes, Mac n cheese and the collard greens were all delishess. How is it that I've been here for four years now and have only found them now?
