I stopped in for a quick bite and ended up staying longer than expected. The food was that good! The staff made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. I can’t wait to return.
Always fun going there. Brought an out of town guest. Service was slow. Slow. Slowwwww. It was not busy at all, so no excuse there. Waiter took some time to bring the menus after we were seated. After that we were ghosted. Once we finally got our ordet taken, we got out coffee and waters. Once the food showed up, we were ghosted again. No check back, no refills were done. Breakfast was ok, but not above average.
Side note: parking around there was HORRIBLE! Good luck finding a parking spot nearby. This was not even a peak day or time. Would I go again? Hard pass.

This place is a stable in my eating and drinking life. Guinness on tap, good food, reasonable pricing.

Fox & Goose Public House offers a cozy, traditional pub atmosphere with hearty British-inspired dishes and a great selection of drinks. The food is comforting and flavorful, and the weekend brunch is especially popular. Staff are friendly and welcoming, making it a relaxing spot to enjoy a meal or unwind with friends in a warm, classic pub setting.
I happened in on a trivia night and just wanted to have a solo dinner. It was fine to be there and not do trivia.
I ordered the chicken tikka masala, surprising offer for an English Public House. But really good! Spicier than I expected. Glad I ordered it. Cozy spot for dinner and a drink.🖤

The hostess was so polite and friendly. Our server was right on top of our needs. Food was great. Pouring rain today, place packed, but everything went extremely well. 11.13.25, 12 pm - 130 pm

Terrific weekday brunch (9:30am on a Thursday with a small group) with warm, welcoming staff and excellent food. It wasn't too busy thus quiet even with lots of hard surfaces. Typical mid-range pricing for R street cafes. They were happy to do (and efficient providing) separate checks. I would happily return.

Slow service and mediocre food.
Chicken sandwich was dry and not very filling. Nobody in my group was happy with the food. MEDIOCRE describes this place perfectly.

Fox & Goose is a cozy and welcoming English pub that serves a real hearty breakfast. The place feels warm and old-fashioned with wood tables, big windows, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to take your time.
The food was excellent and felt authentic. The traditional English breakfast came with eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, and toast. Everything tasted fresh and well-cooked. The potatoes and scones were also really good, simple and comforting.
Service was friendly and easygoing, and the whole experience was very enjoyable. It’s a great spot for a proper English breakfast and a pleasant way to start the day.
