First time visit. Celebrated 2 Birthdays in our party of 5. Shared multiple appetizers, mains and desserts. All were excellent. Service was very, very attentive with a very engaging server. One of the mains came out with a smaller portion than the chef's liking, so was served by the chef with a promise a 2nd portion was in the works. Great first impression. Want to go back for the pork shank and the burger.
We had a very enjoyable evening out with friends, consuming a very slow meal (nearly 3 hours!) The food was delicious, deviled egg appetizers, nice salads, beautifully presented main dishes, and lovely desserts.
There was six of us celebrating a birthday for brunch. We all enjoyed the food. First time all of us agreed that the food was excellent. We will be back.
Loved the chill vibe here, the server was helpful with suggestions and took great care of us. The espresso crème brûlée was phenomenal!
Great food. Portions were a little small so definitely no leftovers. But enjoyed it. Hushpuppies and lamb were great.
This was the second time I've taken friends here for brunch. Kitchen was out of the bread pudding at 11:15 on Sunday, which was disappointing because it is outstanding. Don't miss it! Have had their deviled eggs, Turkish eggs, Croque Madame, Waldorf salad and chicken sandwich — all very good. We love this spot because you can hear your companions in conversation — the noise level is low and it's cozy in the booths. Staff is attentive but spoons are not supplied with place settings so coffee/tea drinks require an extra trip for wait staff.
The dining experience was outstanding. Our server, Ashley, provided us with excellent service. The food was fresh and cooked exactly as we ordered it.
The server was amazing and on the ball, so friendly too, wow it was couple of weeks ago that me and friend went, I believe the servers name was Janelle.

My husband and I had a great date night dinner at Frog & Slim. Ambience is great- perfect sound level on jazz music to enjoy but still maintain private conversations. Our server- Ashely was great: attentive, friendly and great recommendations. Food was amazing from a surprising and bright fennel that made the beet salad pop, to the macadamia crusted lamb that was tender and cooked perfectly to the decadent bread pudding for dessert. Start to finish an amazing meal
The menu offers a great selection of creative plates. The service is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall welcoming vibe of the place. Frog and Slim is a fantastic spot to enjoy a delicious, thoughtfully prepared meal.

Usually when I’m in a new town, I check Yelp to see which restaurants in my area have the highest reviews. And they have to be robust enough for me to take their ratings seriously (ex. A spot with 2 reviews that’s rated 5 stars vs. a place that has 4.5 stars and over 500 reviews. I’ll choose the spot with more reviews).
Not only does Frog & Slim have almost 600 reviews, but they were rated over 4.5 stars, the photos of the dishes and the ambiance intrigued me. Then when I looked at the full menu, the drinks sounded so interesting and unique. I found myself already planning out my meal.
I arrived on a Tuesday night and there was a good crowd but no wait. Since I was alone, I opted for the bar. And it was one of those lit up counters, very elegant. Kimberly greeted me right away and she was so warm & friendly. We hit it off right away. Then I asked for recommendations and settled on the rack of lamb with celery puree and asparagus. WOW 🤩 I had two cocktails that were delicious, loved them both, and the maple bread pudding was heavenly.
You probably won’t have any leftovers - their potions are just the right size. If you have a healthy appetite, you may want to start with an appetizer.
Two drinks, my entree, and dessert set me back about $120. There are entrees that cost a bit less, but I splurged on the drinks because there were a couple that were calling my name. And they didn’t disappoint.
I can’t wait to go back! I’m in Sacramento every few months and I’ll have to make sure to visit again. I also met the owner, Robert, during my meal. He checked in with everyone to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Overall the perfect dining experience. Cheers!
