The breakfast sandwich is AMAZING! I grabbed a chocolate chip cookie and a box of chocolates to snack on later. Life is like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're gonna get, but at GE, it's guaranteed to be yumm-o. My wife can't wait to go back for breakfast TOMORROW.
Update: breakfast sandwich had its final hoo-rah in June 2023, but hopefully it'll make periodic returns.
Still waiting on the sandwich to return but enjoying the chocolate in the mean time.
Bad owner, decent sweets.
Best chocolate confectionery in Sacramento! Traditional hand crafted chocolates in an assortment of normal flavors, such as rasberry, mint, and caramel, you can have Earl Grey or Fleur de Sel. Perfect for your sweetheart!
They also carry macaroons, hot chocolate, cookies, and layered chocolate deserts.
But wait, there's more! Seasonal items for Christmas, Easter, and Summer, plus intermittent experiments like cupcakes.
Ginger sources all her ingredients from sustainable sources and everything is made with loving care and the staff are in uniform. No indifferent bottom rung barista types, only staff who love to sell chocolate.

This chocolate blew my mind! It is so creamy and smooth. It taste like chocolate from Germany chocolate. I have a new favorite chocolate shop!

I was wondering how this place has such high ratings. Once I experienced the service and taste, I realized why. I purposely ordered things on the menu that I don’t normally eat/ drink: rose hot chocolate, fruity macarons and cookies. I enjoyed them all very much. I even thought the to go bags were a touch of Lux. I didn’t feel like I was in an ordinary SAC chocolate shop, but I was transported somewhere else.

I used to love coming here for a delicious fresh croissant. They no longer make them. Since then, it has become an irrelevant place that sells overpriced refined sugar like many others. Good riddance.

Ginger Eliz?
Holy Toledo! Her stuff is so tasty!
I have not ever tasted anything better.
Exquisite chocolates, cookies, candies, ice cream sandwiches, sauces, etc.
It’s like having a New York chocolatier here in Sacramento!
Hers is “to die for!” There is nothing that is anywhere near as wonderful as that which Ginger Eliz creates. 👍

I had to drop my rating to a 3 star for the attention to the fact that the croissants are no longer offered :(
The macaroons are always amazing and taste so fresh; the baked goods that still endure are also pretty good... but the croissants!!! They were unique, and they were the only reason I came in - everything else was just bonus. Please bring them back or have limited runs! I beg you from the depths of my cravings; bring them back or share the recipes!

Best of the best for chocolate and ice cream. Absolutely exquisite and beyond delicious, and I’m not even a big chocolate fan. Great for a gift or just to indulge. You won’t find much better anywhere. This is truly among the best in the world.

Such a sweet treat! The chocolates here are handcrafted with such richness in flavor that they make your taste buds go wild. The drinks, especially the hot chocolate, are intense and packed with flavor, thanks to the high-quality chocolate used. My personal favorite is the almond bars—they're simply divine. The ambiance is equally delightful, with a cute, pink-themed décor that adds to the charm, and the cleanliness is impeccable. If you're a gourmet chocolate fan, this is definitely a place you don't want to miss.

Great little chocolate shop. We got some chocolates, which were all delicious, we got a cupcake which was amazing, and we got an ice cream sandwich which was so good it'll singlehandedly bring me back. Also, the music selection was basically my playlist on Spotify, so I certainly enjoyed it. Will try the coffee next time.
