Decided to try a new pizza location. Big location, but nobody there. Pizza was overpriced, not very good compared to other pizzerias, lacked taste & doughy, very plain. Overall restaurant was dirty, needed a good cleaning. Customer service was very poor, handed us a menu and said no more upon ordering. 3-Stars

I went here today around 12:30 to try the pizza slice lunch deal. 2 big ole slices and a drink. Good size very thin slices. Pretty basic pizza and for the price it was ok; just ok. It did the trick for lunch. I suspect the pizzas were sitting around for some time before reheating though or the cheese is old or some rancid oil used. IDK! But each bite had a slightly bitter, musty under tone mixed with a burned taste maybe from the crust. It wasn't terrible, yet noticeable. Just me in there eating alone. The service and ambiance were good. It's a pizza joint! Nice young lady handling the place. Uncle Vito's is 100% better than this stuff though. I'll try this place 1 more time with a freshly made pizza.

Ordered for delivery via 3rd party but it was so yummy! Best pizza I have had in Sac since moving here a year ago. Great crust and elevated toppings. Thnks Giovanni's. Looking forward to dining in :)Vegetarian options: Had the spinach pizza, very good, we ordered the pesto pizza for the kids and a house salad, all great!

I was not impressed with their lunch pizza. I ordered 2 slice pizzas. The pizza look like they was leftover from yesterday and they warmed for lunch. Also I had hair on my pizza. That was disgusting. The worker at pizza place didn't wear hairnet or cap. I could see why there was hair on my pizza. I don't think I will go back to this place again.

Legit authentic NY style pizza!! The owner has been making pizza since the age of 8, he was originally from NY. The pizza is amazing and authentic, would highly recommend.

Not sure why the reviews are so low here. Fresh pizza & homemade ranch. Awesome spot! Food: 5/5 Pepperoni slice: 5/5 Classic & delicious with the ranch. Cheese slice: 5/5 So hard to beat a thin crust slice! Tip: Get the ranch! It's homemade!! Service: 5/5 They were out of the pesto but the lady at the front gave us recommendations of other things to order. Ambiance: 5/5 Cute old school place with longer tables as well smaller tables to sit at.

The pizza dough was good but they didn't follow our request to substitute one of the toppings (after confirming they would). The salad came out quite a bit after the pizza and just wasn't good (Caesar). Also - it's just very dark and gloomy inside and the restrooms were filthy - leaving us feeling like the place is just not clean. I wouldn't come back again. They charge a premium price for a subpar quality and environment.

Honestly Giovanni's when it's good is amazing and my favorite pizza in sac. A simple pizza pie has great flavor and a light crust. The only thing keeping this place from being a 4 star review is the inconsistencies. Sometimes your pizza will be burnt or totally dried out and they serve it anyway, esp for delivery. So we always check before we leave. Also, when you call in the pick up times vary greatly. I have been quoted 30 min, arrived in 15 and my order was already in the warmer. Overall worth a try if you enjoy thin crust NY style pizza.

Ok I loved my pizza I went back on my birthday for the pizza by the slice I didn't know they had a lunch special but two pieces of pizza get a free drink Monday -Saturday again didn't disappoint ... I didn't love the chicken garlic pizza only because I love pepperoni but for those who don't eat pepperoni it was good ... 10.99 for lunch special two slices and a drink ... ready to go !! My bday lunch workers super nice

I’ve been going to Giovanni’s off of Folsom Boulevard since John first opened his doors. It unfortunately, over the last year the quality from the store has slipped. This is my first time going to land park and this is what Giovanni‘s is all about my pizza was hot fresh not burned and fast. Absolutely delicious.
