I don't recommend ordering at opening time. I ordered lunch honey walnut shrimp plate and sweet and sour chicken and both the chicken and shrimp were dry and tasted burnt. The rice had a yucky taste like if it was from the night before. The only good thing was the egg rolls and cream cheese wontons. I paid $45 and unfortunately it wasn't good.

Golden Dragon has become our go-to Chinese dinner takeout place. I've also been to lunch there a few times. We've used them at work to cater huge parties (up to 350 people) and they are so great and easy to work with. They helped me plan a menu that included vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian items to ensure I had lunch to please everyone. My husband can't stop talking about the Bao tacos!!!! We like the service, the food quality, and the menu options. Highly recommended for dine-in, takeout, or catering.

The service was good, very friendly! The portions were large. The flavor was good. It is pretty expensive for lunch. $28 with tip for an entree, 3 crab wontons, and hot tea. The bathroom was gross. No place to hang your bag and the floor is disgusting so no way I'd set it there. The towel dispenser was barely functional and it just felt really grimy overall. It was a very unfortunate end to an otherwise decent meal.

I ordered online. The chicken in both the rice and the Peking had an off taste, the sweet and sour soup was slimy, two people tried it once and poured it out and the noodles and chicken were drier than the Sahara

Golden Dragon is a Sacramento classic - this location on Broadway has been around as long as I can remember and was my dad's favorite Chinese spot before he passed away. There used to be a barber next door that my brother used, and the laundromat in the same lot I used as a teen. I had the highest score on the Cruis'n USA arcade game. I'm older now and can afford my own washer & dryer lol. We order pick up for dinner on occasion, just call in or use the online ordering on their website. Service is super fast, usually ready within 15-20mins. Tonight we ordered 3 combo plates, each plate comes with choice of 2 sides and 2 potstickers. First combo plate for my son, broccoli beef with chow mein & fried rice. Fresh, large portions and really worth the $17. This is my son's fave, I took a bite of the fresh broccoli and tender beef. Yum. Second combo plate for my mom, sweet & sour chicken with fried rice, chow mein and potstickers $16 Third combo plate for me, is the delicious sesame chicken with chow mein, asian wonton side salad and potstickers $16. Chicken was crispy, sweet and savory. Everything was so good! Hot, fresh and delicious. The ladies at the register are super friendly and welcoming. Place is remodeled with a clean upscale vibe and flat screen TVs. Love the lanterns hanging from the ceilings. 10/10 recommend.

Friendly, I always get the sesame chicken combo to go and it tastes delicious. Really good portion size too.

I haven't tried a lot of their menu specifically because I'm in love with their wonton soup. I really enjoy sometimes to just have a simple wonton soup without all the add ins other people have and this one is exactly that. Even have had it door dashed and still comes hot and really great!

This restaurant has been around for years it does not have the same taste it did back then, ordered there orange chicken and chow main the orange chicken was not bad had better, there chow main could use more flavor also got the chicken fried rice it was good, got it for my family for dinner we were hungry so it was good, the service was ok ordered on the phone, if you want to try this place id say it's not bad, but may not go back for awhile.

I had long been craving a general tso/orange type chicken, not at an expressed Panda type restaurant, but a typical Chinese restaurant. I have not found any reliable spots around the Pocket-Greenhaven area, but as my craving had not been yet satisfied, I decided on this spot. I ordered the general chicken "lunch special" to go, and the school I work at is only about 2 blocks away, so it was still hot. No worries there. I quote the words "lunch special" because it was only a meat and a starch. It was $13.99, too. Soup was $4.00 extra. I only mention this because most Chinese restaurants will reward you with a lunch special of meat, rice, egg roll, soup, and a fortune cookie for sometimes a dollar or two less. So, in terms of price, a little more expensive and not as big of a deal as other typical Chinese places. The food itself was decent. The sauce is spicy (but not overly), and the rice was not overly starchy. They provided me with extra soy sauce at my request, and were friendly about it. It was good enough that, if, I am desperately craving a Chinese quick fix at work, I may (MAY!) come back, but probably not rushing to return. Keep in mind, $15.00+ for take out. If eating there and wanting a drink, your lunch "soecial" would probably be about $20.00, without the usual accoutrements one expects for a lunch special combo.

Not special! The pot stickers were cold and rubbery. The frozen pot stickers from Costco taste better than theirs. Other items were just below average. The price was high, and I think they should be $$$ rather than just $$.
