If you're not familiar with the app To Good To Go It's an app where different restaurants sell there food that's left over so it's not thrown away at the end of a business day. its a surprise bag you have no idea what's in it. I bought 3 @ $19 and some change inside my container was a scoop of mashed potatoes, a scoop of fried cabbage and a square slice of cornbread. Not 1 piece of protein. if they were only offering side items to be rescued they should state only sides are given as an option

Gumbo King is a must-try! The gumbo was absolutely delicious, with a perfect blend of flavors and a generous serving of meat. The service was prompt and friendly. The only minor detail was the background music, which was a bit loud for my taste. But overall, a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend!

Went in for a late dinner. Glad they stay open late. The area needs some cleaning up. Due to homeless outside. Feels sketchy at night. The food is excellent. The flavors really come out. I had the king gumbo with dungeness crab. My girl had the freid red snapper. The portions are big. The corn bread the bring was on point. Will be going back.

I've come across their ig page and saved their info.first time coming and I must say all of everything we ordered was amazingly delicious.everything was seasoned to perfection and our waitress was a sweetie.i highly recommended this spot you will not be disappointed.we loved it.we will be definitely coming bk soon.thank you gumbo king keep up the awesome job.and thank you fr the pleasant bd dessert along with the singing.yalls truly made my brat that much more special.i love y'alls.!!
