I really REALLY hope this place reopens. The food is out of this world delicious and the owner is super nice and provides fantastic service. I took my husband to a different Ethiopian restaurant for his 1st time and we were both incredibly disappointed. I need this place to open again so I can show him how amazing Ethiopian food really is. I miss this place!!!

Food was ok, price and serving size was disappointing. I ordered to go and was surprised to find that the food seemed scrapped together like left overs. Waste of $18 for simple veggie plate.

Wow, where do I start? This is an underrated, hole-in-the-wall restaurant! I only recently tried Ethiopian food at Queen Sheba and really enjoyed it, but I think Habesha beats them! First off, Habesha is located in the corner of a smaller plaza, behind the McDonalds. When we came in at lunch time, we were the only customers, and it was just the owner/chef there. We took a seat and ordered the meat and vegetarian family special. We're newbies and didn't specify which items we wanted, so the chef just made our platter for us. Seems like we got the beef kay wot and doro tibs. The food came out hot and fresh. All I have to say was that the beef was so tender, and at medium spiciness, it was perfect and my favorite of the platter. Enough spice to enjoy and the flavor was full of depth. Wonderful balance of onion, garlic, and other seasonings. The chicken was also really good, and the other veggies were so flavorful. Not sure if the injera (rolled bread) was made in house as other reviewers may have wondered about, but I enjoyed it still. I realized that Habesha does a great job at seasoning each of the sides differently, whereas at Queen Sheba, at some point, the sides kind of blended together in taste. Even after leaving the restaurant, I kept raving about it! Pretty sure I could have eaten more, but didn't want to overdo it. Between 2 people, we took home a full second meal. Great value for $32+tax. Service was very friendly. I really hope people come out to support this hidden gem!

So good!!! I didn't know what to get, so I just got the family meat and vegetable and let them decide. It was delicious and the gentleman who was there when I picked it up wan an absolute delight to deal with! Will definitely be back. I picked up a new u so I can choose something different the next time.
