I average once a week at this restaurant and I have never been disappointed. I love the service, the food and the environment when I walk in. Thank you for being a plus in my life.

My rating is so low based upon the food quality. I ordered the sweet sour chicken, orange chicken, shrimp fried rice an egg rolls. Now my fried rice was great however for the rest it was trash, my sweet sour chicken was soggy, my orange chicken was dry, egg roles was oily an soggy an tasted like they came from Costco.

Happy Takeout was my husband and I’s go to spot. During our recent visit we were immediately given attitude and when asking for additional forks the cashier turned her back to us and went on her phone. My husband’s order was completely wrong and they refused to give us a refund or remake the food. Never coming back.

Great food for a really amazing price. Amazing portions too! Definitely the best chow mein and fried rice that I ever had.oramge chicken is bomb and I had the spicy garlic which was amazing. Next time I crave Chinese food I'm going back for sure.

When someone asks if you want Happy Takeout, the only acceptable answer is YES. My favorite dishes are the Hot Garlic Fish, Salt N' Pepper Chicken, Pork Fried Rice and Kung Pao Chicken. They are always pretty fast and the service is friendly. If you're lucky they'll even draw a little picture on your takeout box.

I came here earlier today on July 18, 2025 at about 12:30 to pick up an order and the quality of service was dismal and absolutely appalling. There was a white woman she seemed middle aged, but she was in the front showing alot of attitude and handing customers food in such a rude way. It was almost as if she was going to throw it. She was rude and just talking down on many customers. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant for those who want to receive quality service. I believe you guys need to train your employees how to be a bit nicer to customers/delivery drivers. Like I mentioned before this restaurant is something I don’t recommend at all unless you want to experience a rude worker.

It's a take out or carry out only place. The food is great. Simply delicious.

Don’t use menu they charge more than what’s on the menu. Menu says 11.75 for walnut chicken entree. They tried to charge me 14.95 +tax for the same entree should her what it said online but they didn’t honor the price that is currently on the menu.

Order the 12.95 dinner special, and get the orange chicken. You get plenty of food that tastes great

I received chicken fried rice and the rice was dry! I also received egg rolls and the vegetables were soggy and the rap was over cooked! This isn’t for everyone, I don’t believe that I’ll visit them ever again! I went on the strength of a food review on instagram, I won’t do that again!
The people are nice, but the food, not so much, save your money! Go elsewhere!

Very bad experience here. Food is cold, and also the place is really dirty. And also the manger is really disrespectful towards some customers. And they are not being professional. The restaurant should be close.

Best I've had in a while . It actually tasted like it's supposed to. Every place I've been to tasted like oil . Not here though . It's great

Since I moved to Sac I have been on the search for the holy triangle of Chinese food. Not too far away, not too salty, and absolutely loaded with flavor! They do it right at Happy Takeout. Quick service and you can tell they love food and their customers a TON
