Just went here for lunch for the first time today. I'm a huge asian food junkie (I'm also 5 months pregnant) and am always looking for new places to enjoy. I walked in and was greeted by a young guy (high school age) who had me pay. Then I was walked to my seat by the hostess. I went to make my plate and when I got back to my table my drink was there waiting for me. I love the Hibachi station where you can create your own fried rice / chow mein or even stir fry. All the food was hot and fresh that I tried. It was a definite 5 stars for me and I will be back soon with family! Totally pregnant lady approved, haha!!

Great addition to the area. Lots of Chinese Buffet places have closed so this is a welcome sight. We go with friends that have teenagers and don't have to worry that they won't find anything they like. Lots of choices and they seem to turn food often so it stays fresh. Price isn't bad but drink prices are a little high so we usually just get water.

Was excited to see this place finally open. Overall the food is great for a first timer. After frequent visits the experience got rather stale. Chinese food are their specialty so I recommend eating things in small portions to get a taste of nearly everything on their menu. To figure what you like or not when you visit next time. I normally don't like to waste food. Having the chef cook in front of you on the grill is by far the best option. The area can get rather rowdy or clustered on holidays or weekends so I try to avoid the busiest days.

Been to this place a couple of times , food is decent but service is bad . Well I should only point out the lady on the register , got in and didn't greet us was on her phone and I said for two and she just gave us a look , didn't say what drink we would like . Just waited for us to speak . Was rude over all after we paid she went back on her phone , it was just a very awkward walk away . It wasn't busy so I don't know why she was in no mood but whatever

My friend asked me to go to dinner so we tried this place. That was a mistake. Some of the worst chinese food I ever ate. The food was lukewarm at best. It did not taste fresh. The crab rangoon..blah. I will for sure never come here again even if it was free. It literally was gross. The honey shrimp was soggy. The general chicken was so hard. My friend had the mongolian and he did not finish it... I wished I told him no.

(1) It's been 36 hours since we ate there, and my son STILL has a stomach ache. (2) I called to verify that lunch is until 3:30, so we rushed to get there (at 3:26...just like another reviewer who made the same complaint) and we were charged for dinner. They maintained there is nothing misleading - it's still lunch until 3:30, it's just that you get charged for dinner starting at 3:25 because they also put dinner dishes on the buffet line, but they do that before 3:25, so where's the logic? (By the way, at casinos and hotels, I've paid according to what time I get there, and it doesn't matter what dishes they subsequently bring out.) (3) That wasn't the only sleazy business practice. They have a senior discount, but no matter how old you look, they will charge you full price unless you ask for the discount. She said, "Next time come before 3:25." I said, "There never will be a next time. I'm never coming again." And that's an easy promise to carry out, because the food wasn't very tasty anyway.

The place itself is gloomy, dark and frankly not very cozy. Packed with tables in a too close proximity to each other. I was happy enough to find vegan sushi in there. Also watermelons and pineapples were tasty :) But I assume there are lots of 'cheating' in meals. For instance, my wakame salad had lots of cabbage in it... which I've never seen before. If you need to fuel up and are a fan of seafood you might check it out and made your own mind. But I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone I know.

If i could give zero stars, i would. Not because of the food, but of the service. Clearly, receipt picture included, we arrived before the 3:30pm dinner pricing, and yet we were charged more for the dinner, simply because dinner food was already served. Not my fault. Change ur hours to 3pm then instead of 3:30!!!

We were there this past Saturday. I love seafood and the first thing I look for is seafood when I go to a Chinese buffet. Crab legs, they don't have those but crabs yes, that works for me. Yummy! Clams, coconut shrimps, fried shrimps and fish. Wish they have mussels... They have a great variety of selection. If you don't feel like cooking and just want variety, go to this restaurant. Plenty to choose from. Clean, friendly staffs and they replenish the food very often. Nothing was left cold. Great place to go eat with family on weekend and/or bring people from out of town.

We were starving and this place did not disappoint at all. Everything looked so good and it did taste good. Very clean and family oriented place. Would come here again and recommend.

Huge selection. Bomb sushi. Reasonable lunch prices. I'd suggest they remove the mac n cheese and mashed potatoes and replace it with beef tripe, shrimp dumpling, or chicken on a stick, but regardless good food. The restroom stalls were nice because there's no gap for peeping patties but the garbage cans placed in the stalls are too big and touched my butt when I sat on the toilet, eww. Also there's no napkins to dry your hands, just blowers, or to open the door on my way out the restroom because ya know some people don't wash their hands, yuck. A basket with napkins near the sink would be nice and a trash can.

This is a buffet, so it does help run your expectations down a notch with what the place is about to offer you... The register staff were prompt and very courteous, and we were seated immediately after we paid up. Even the staff that showed us to our table was always in full smiles...very inviting! The service staff were the same. Always on the lookout for used plates they can put away, drinks they can refill. They were always on the move from table to table. I only saw two of the service staff, but I think they were handling a load fit for five people! Energetic and productive, these people were. The food was passable. Being a buffet, some of the food were already close to drying up. But the taste was still there. The food was still enjoyable. And there was the sushi bar to sample, as well as the Mongolian grill, whose staff were always available to cook for you. If you did not like the fare at the buffet tables, your option for freshly made food was at the Mongolian grill. All in all, the place is reasonably priced, the food is not bad, the environment was clean and pleasant, and the staff were above par!

Sakura Grill & Buffet is about what you would expect from an Asian AYCE buffet. You'll find the typical suspects of basic Sushi rolls, mediocre Americanized Chinese food and spongy desserts and pudding. Upon entering, there is a hostess stand ahead to the right, opposite a cashier station to the left. If you approach the hostess stand first, you will be greeted with a blunt "pay first!" and a finger point to the till. Once you have paid and have a receipt in hand, demeanor of the hostess is not as de-mean-as before, lol. I was seated in a small aquarium...I mean at a small table with a glass window along one side of the booth. The glass was not obscured so I was essentially a fish in the aquarium for the folks dining on the opposite side of the glass. It was a bit awkward being the "star" of my own "pay per-chew" dining show, but I did my best to entertain. My viewers were definitely on the edge of their seats as they gasped "he's going for another plate" just prior to my commercial break! The good: There is a Hibachi grill where you can select exactly the ingredients you want, and then watch them being cooked in front of you. I recommend you make this your first stop. Also good: The server responsible for clearing the aftermath of each (non-competitive) round and keeping my beverage topped-off was fast & friendly! The bad: Many items do not have a description leaving you guessing about what kind of ingredients might be inside. Not good if you have any food allergies or adverse food reactions. It's like when you get one of those cheap boxes of chocolates and have no clue what you're biting into. You know what I'm talking about? "Oh man, I got the one filled with pureed tuna and a Maraschino cherry!" Also bad: C'mon people...don't let your little kids run around unsupervised. They cut in front of you with their grubby little hands touching the tongs and then throw them in contact with the food (I've seen grown ups do this too). Not the fault of the restaurant. But have you seen where those little fingers have been...ummm yeah. Gross. So, like I said...pretty much what you would expect from an AYCE buffet. Let's not kid ourselves here... closest it's gonna get to a "Michelin Rating" is the 32 psi on the tires of the delivery truck out back.

We've been waiting for this place to open so we can try it. Drove by several times last year, and it wasn't open yet. Forgot about it. Then we drove by tonight and saw they were open! Tried Sakura for the 1st time. They've been open 5 months the cashier said. Cons: 1) walked in, cashier was not smiling at all. Very pretty woman, but looked mad. Maybe she was tired, since it was 7pm dinner time. There wasn't many people there. 2) we paid for 3 people, they asked the 2 adults what we wanted to drink, they brought us 2 drinks. They didn't even bother to bring a drink for the little one. All we wanted was water. 3) We tried several different foods. They did not taste as what the food sign said. Coconut shrimp tasted just like honey walnut shrimp except it didn't have walnuts in it. For sure there was absolutely no coconut taste to it. 4) the deep fried foods didn't taste like anything except super oily. We couldn't eat it. But tried. 5) soup was really oily and had no taste. Didnt finish it the soup. White Rice was on the dry, harden side. The clam orangey looking dish was really oily. I didn't taste anything. 6) Sushi was okay. Half baked potatoe was really dry. Over all, most of the foods were pretty bad. 7) customer service lacking Pros: 1) The veggies were good. Yay! Something was good. Green beans are nice and crunchy with flavor. Baked spinach with cheese was ok. I just added a little salt and pepper and wa-la! Flavor. I love spinach anyways. 2) Desserts were good. Little cup of ice cream cost $0.60. 3) They finally brought our little one water when on her 2nd plate of food. Kids don't eat much. But she counts it as 2 plates even tho it's just one or two items on it. Haha 4) Even the waitresses do not smile, but nice. 5) quiet and peaceful By the time we forced the foods down (after all we did pay for it), and left, both of us had stomach aches. Came right out of us. At least I can say I lost some weight right after this buffet. Hahaha! But we will definitely NOT come here again. I'm pretty disappointed. It may be a better experience for someone else.

Typical, "authentic" Asian-american buffet, from the general chicken and stale dessert to the undercooked potatoes and random cheese pizza slices.....it's everything one can hope for. I am being nice with two stars instead of one, because the ambiance is nice, although food wise it's not much better than the hometown it replaced. It was weird having to pay up front rather than the end but whatever. This falls into my "if you've been to one, you've been to them all," and won't be returning anytime soon.
