Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar

I had the shrimp and scallops in the Cajun blend. It was so good and the jalapeño poppers and the lemon pepper wings with a strawberry margarita. The customer service was amazing and everything was tasty. Definitely a go to spot.

At a glance the place seemed alright; clean and organized with a good vibe. Order my food , it smelled good. Went to eat the clams and it tasted like they were cooked in used mop water. I don't know what happened back there but I've never had clams to smelled taste like that. The cook must be nose blind or something. You don't serve that to your customers!!!!

I will go back had catfish and clam chowder but want to try seafood boil

I got the seafood pasta and the table ordered the mozzarella sticks and calamari for appetizers. the pasta was a really generous portion and tasted great! I had to get a box because I couldn't finish it all in one sitting. the mozzarella sticks were pretty standard and came with marinara sauce. the calamari came with breaded onions, bell peppers, and what I think was a mayo/tartar sauce. the breading on the calamari was really flavorful.

the servers were very helpful and accommodating. they went back to the kitchen to ask about pork in certain dishes for us. they also gave us small samples of the thai tea which was nice.

there were plenty of TVs with sports games on but what I appreciated the most in terms of decor was the large illuminated crab above our table. :)

I'd love to come here again!

I visited Hook and Reel last night, and I’m beyond disappointed. My bill came to $34, but when I checked later, the staff had added an extra $10 to the tip without my consent.

When I brought it up to the manager, Alex, he was completely dismissive and offered for me to drive back to get the $10 in person.

The money isn't the issue—it's about trust. I dine out daily, and I've never had a restaurant handle a situation so poorly. Instead of taking my concern seriously, Alex kept talking over me and insisting his staff wouldn't do such a thing, despite the evidence on my bill.

✅ This was my second visit, and it will definitely be my last. If you value honesty and good service, stay far away from this place!

By Far my favorite place yet. Hard to find good,friendly atmosphere with Remarkable food this is the spot.Hit a special on oysters a dollar each MAN!! Best I've ever had.This is the new spot for me even had ice cold mugs with pitchers.I will definitely be back??

Me and family thought we’d try this place and the flavor was really good! We had the seafood boil and my son had the stake tacos. We would come back, but next time just my husband and I

I thought adding large party gratuity to a bill that had 2 adults and 5 kids who all but 1 is under 12 is a lot but it’s whatever.

I've been to a lot of places similar to this one, and to be honest, it was just okay. I ordered the honey walnut shrimp and was disappointed that the shrimp were drizzled with the sauce and walnuts rather than being tossed together. The catfish and Cajun fry basket was good, and the hushpuppies were very flavorful. However, the voodoo lemonade tasted like vodka and water.

I also ordered a side of eggs with Hook & Reel sauce in spicy. Unfortunately, the eggs were overcooked and not hot, and the sauce came in a separate cup that I had to pour over the eggs myself. After eating for a while, everything began to taste the same.

Overall, this place wouldn't be one of my top picks for dining out.

The good: clean, quick, new, spacious, good service, wide range of menu items.

The bad: the boil tastes blend. Need to work on the spice.

Buy 2 pounds of shrimp at 1 pound free is 3 pounds of blend shrimp at the end and it will not be satisfying. You just be full. I rather have 1 pound of really good flavorful shrimp
