The restaurant is close to the highway and plenty of parking. The lunch specials are a good deal since you get to try two skewers, salad, and sticky rice. Food is made fresh and piping hot. It is Asian spicy so beware! The lao sausage is very good.

Actually, it was good but last few weeks they double charge to my credit card and still not refund money back to me as committed!I've been following up, they keep saying that it would be refunded in the next couple days but it's never been happened. I called them today but no answer, Too bad and not honest service!

They had a sign at the register that stated they were cash only because their register was down. I went to the closest atm which happened to be at the shell gas station next door to pull out some money. I hated having to do that because of all the fees. Nonetheless, the food was great and after I ate I was less bitter about having to pull the money out. Ordered the kaopoon, kaopiek, cucumber salad, and chicken wings. 10/10 for both soups. We got the regular size bowls but they came jam packed. Definitely didn't skimp on the noodles or broth. The cucumber salad was also the right amount of salty and spice. The chicken wings were just ok. Simple plain fried wings, but when paired with the saltiness of the salad then it makes up for it. This place is definitely on my radar if I'm ever in the area and need my fix for south East Asian food.

We came here for an early dinner, so there wasn't any diners at that time. There were some people that came in to pick up food. I love nam khao, but they only sell that in a party tray here. I also wanted Lao sausage, but that was one of the things they ran out of. Bummer. We started with the papaya salad and laap moo (pork). Both were good, but medium spice tasted mild. We also got khao piek (chicken noodle soup). It was warm and comforting. Overall, I'll come back if I was close by to try the other laaps and for the Lao sausages!

Such great food. Was disappointed because we're out of the favorite Lao sausage. But we had garlic noodles with chicken, drunken pork noodles, beef jerky and the fried pork. All so wonderful. The place is clean with a rustic decor. Or service was prompt and friendly. It's on my regular rotation.

Hole in the wall shop with the best food. I haven't had anything I haven't loved. Khaopoon, jeow bong fried rice, kapiek, chicken wings with sour pepper sauce and sticky rice (chefs kiss). They get busy, so expect to wait a little for your order, seems that they're a small team. Wish they were in doordash, I'd order often :)

Saturday, 8/19/2022 - Went to Jannoi’s App-Khao | Papaya & Noodle Shack for lunch with a beautiful friend. Address is 3510 Auburn Blvd UNIT 10, Sacramento, CA 95821. Located on Watt and right before the entrance to 80 (aka Capital City Freeway). Upon arrival.....Pros1) large parking lot with plenty of parking.2) restaurant was packed with only 2 empty tables left. As soon as I arrived, server told me I could sit at either table.3) within a few mins, server brought me a menu. Told me she was the only one working in the front today.4) took about 30 to 40 minutes for our food orders to arrive. We didn't mind as that gave us a chance to talk and catch up. The fish larb took another 5 to 8 minutes to come out after the other 2 dishes came. But the foods were nice and warm. Not hot.5) water had an after taste. Not sure how to describe it. Maybe mineral-ly. Hmmmm..... it wasn't bad. Just a slight after taste. I shoulda asked for lemon. But they do bring a little bottle of water with ice with a lid, in case you run out of water in your cup. That really helped.6) as soon as someone left their table, I notice a young man would clean the table quickly. Tables were always cleaned.7) the Jeow Bong Fried Rice was friggen good. I could eat the whole plate. Lol. The drunken noodle was good. The fish larb was on the sweeter side, but still good.8) our server was very nice.9)Cons1) noneConclusionThis little restaurant was pretty cool. About 10ish table. It's located right before the entrance to 80. Server was nice. Tables were clean. Foods were good. Try this place if you haven't yet. We had a good experience here.__________________________________Thursday, 11/02/2023 - service great! Our waitress was so nice. Foods were all delicious. Except the chicken wings. Wings had no flavor and was on the raw side. The top of the meat was cooked, but had no flavor. The more you bite into the wings, the less cook it was. Was chewy and slimy-ish. Besides that, foods were great!! I also order a Thai tea to go. They forgot it. So before I left, I asked if I was still going to get it. The kitchen was already closed (close at 7:20pm-ish I think), and we already paid for our foods, so the waitress said it was on the house that was really nice.I really like this restaurant. Go try this place if you haven't already

Weekend hangovers call for soup, and I was craving a good bowl of Kaopiak. I am accustomed to Stockton having the best Kaopiak noodle. I was reluctant to try this spot, as I always am when trying food I can make haha. I was so surprised to find that every single dish we ordered was on point. This is a true Lao restaurant that is cooking up flavors I thought only my mom could curate! We ordered the papaya, laarb seen, and Kaopiak. The food was seasoned perfectly! The kaopiak was made with fresh chicken, and you could really tell by the stock! The portion was good for the soup too, but my only suggestion is that they should give less broth, because it was hard to find the noodles. Another suggestion, spicier chilli oil ! The laarb was delicious, spicy, and had just enough bee to where i couldn't taste it. The papaya was so good and comparable to my other fav Lao spot off Eleanor. It was dark and pungent, as it should be Lao style. The place is a little small, but has plenty of seating. The server, corina, was pretty awesome too. This has to be one of the best Lao places in the area, I'm only sad I have to drive so far to get to it. BUT I WOULD!!

Had the Khao Piek-Chicken soup w tapioca noodles. Sounds simple and it is but when it’s done right …. Sublime! Had this first in Ventienne Laos and have been trying to find an equal ever since. Very good , but missing the fixings- fried garlic, ginger etc. Still … so good ! Staff was friendly and welcoming. Will be back. A

Great service and amazing food. These are the two things that come to mind when thinking about my recent dining experience at the new restaurant in town. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my dining experience was top-notch.The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, catering to all tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you were a meat lover, a vegetarian, or had specific dietary restrictions, there was something for everyone. I opted for the chef's special, a mouthwatering seafood platter that was beautifully presented. Each bite was a burst of flavors, showcasing the chef's culinary expertise. What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and the quality of ingredients used in each dish. It was evident that the chef took great pride in sourcing the freshest produce and finest cuts of meat. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds.Throughout the meal, the staff was attentive without being intrusive. They anticipated my needs, refilling my water glass and checking in to ensure everything was to my liking. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, and they were able to recommend pairings and answer any questions I had.

I am from the Bay Area, but I have friends who live near this place.. Since my favorite dish is KhaoPoon, they told me to try this place & I drove all the way out here from Fremont just to try their KhaoPoon.. But I was not impressed.. The broth was extremely watered down & didnt taste right at all.. Back at my hotel room, after a couple bites I tossed everything in the trash.. This was a total waste of time..
