I was in the mood for some really good menudo this Sunday morning but wanted to go somewhere my partner could also get something he’d be excited about and happy we landed here. I had the menudo and it was super yummy. My partner had the quesabirria and shrimp taco and ate it all up. We shared the flauta and it’s was SOOOOO GOOD. The potato flautas were the star of the show! We both grab agua frescas and they were bomb 💣. We enjoyed our food so much we grabbed cookies to go! Excited to be back here and try more of their stuff.

My first time eating at Jefitaz and wow their Birria tacos and consome were so light and flavorful! I usually feel really heavy after eating quesabirria but their's are truly something different. I also had a shrimp taco and it was also good, I just wasn't a fan of the cheese specifically on the shrimp taco. I had the guava strawberry agua Fresca and it's very refreshing and definitely a new favorite of mine. Will come back again in the future!

This is my third time going to Jefita’s, and it won't be my last! I've tried the following dishes:
Visit 1 - Birria Ramen, the delicious consomme (broth) was perfectly balanced between spices and spiciness while not being greasy. Truly flavorful!
Visit 2 - Regular Birria burrito, just like the last time, the consomme was delicious, and the meat was simmered to perfection. If you don't like onions, ask for light onions. This wasn't a problem for me because I love onions.
Visit 3 - Menudo. I understand that some of you may have had a bad experience with Menudo, perhaps because you tried your aunt's version and it wasn't cooked or cleaned properly. I recommend Jefita's menudo instead, as it's the best menudo I've ever had at a restaurant. The broth is delicious and there is no unpleasant odor.
Regular asada burrito - When it comes to judging a Mexican restaurant, the best metric is their asada burrito. It's disappointing when you order an asada burrito that tastes like fish, which indicates that the grill wasn't cleaned properly. Fortunately, this wasn't the case with the burrito I had at Jefitas. It was absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced and layered, allowing you to taste everything from the rice and beans to the asada and onions, and it was all amazing. The meat was also different from most restaurants and of higher quality. I think they use the same meat for the birria because it tasted like it had a higher fat content, which prevented it from being overly dry.
The agua frescas are fun, the salsa’s are spicy, and the service is no frills! Check this place out if you want truly delicious food!!
