Went from my favorite sushi spot to a no-go restaurant now. Service wasn’t good, dirty tables, flies everywhere, and smelled like rotting fish. I would go back if they invested into cleaning it up but as for now, sorry.

The best hamachi kama! There's a wonderful consideration not only for the flavors but also for textures. Delicious and artful.

I love their sushi! I tried this place after work for dinner and their rolls are amazing! I enjoyed a couple sides of spicy red sauce with my sushi and it really elevated.

Since I am pregnant I was asking for baking roll(lion king) which they didn’t have on menu. So they offered to me, besides my family ordered other stuff as well.At the end “Lion King” was on my cheque 25$ which is non sense for me.

Only been here once but I am ready to go back! Came here for dinner with my friend and it was a great experience. We sat outside since it was a bit busy inside, but the staff were so nice and welcoming that we didn't feel at all like the service was impacted by the amount of people.

They have a great menu full of different options and a lot of drinks! The waitress was super nice in recommending different drinks and offered us a sample when we went sure what to order. If the weather is nice and you're craving sushi come here and sit outside! Perfect for date night or girls night!

Ju hachi is definitely under-rated! The quality of the fish is excellent, and their ramen is respectable. I believe the head sushi chef came from the original Kru, so you get the quality without the expensive price tag. The owner is a chill dude & comes out and chats every now and then. Top 4 for me personally in the sacramento area.

Update: visited Ju Hachi again and got all nigiri this time. The blue fin, salmon and hamachi were all very good and the chef did a nice job preparing each properly and also adding some creative flair with a small slice of avocado on the sake and some type of oil that went really well with it. The rice to fish ratio was a little off with a little too much rice, but otherwise everything was very good.

The nigiri pricing, however, is a bit absurd. They sell it by the individual piece instead of in pairs like pretty much every other sushi restaurant in the world. And at $5 to $10 per individual piece of nigiri, it adds up quick! Honestly, although it was good, it's not worth the price.

Previous review: We sat outside under the string lights and had a really nice meal. We got the red balls, which were delicious. They had hamachi Toro as a special which was fantastic. We also got a roll which I don't remember the name, but it was also very good. All in all it was a really good meal and nice to find an alternative to mikuni.

First time here and we loved it! The food was across the board delicious. We had spicy edamame, red balls, stuff mushrooms, two rolls that were scrumptious. Our waitress was lovely and attentive. The chefs were enjoying themselves and very friendly.

Had my first sake bomb!
Definitely recommend.

I had the pleasure of dining at this sushi bar last night, and it was amazing! The service was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The sushi was fresh, and each roll was packed with flavor. The ambiance was stylish and comfortable, with a modern aesthetic that made the experience feel upscale without being pretentious. Highly recommend!

The food here was pretty decent. I saw a picture of a really tasty looking little thing that had Ikura, Uni, and Toro in a spoon and asked for one of those and it was good! They ran out of Toro but they had hamachi belly and they asked if I was ok with replacing it, which I was cool with. Apparently there's no name for it, so just show them the pic and say you want one of those haha. The nigiri I got were decent. I liked the Ikura the most. The California roll was also solid and had a generous portion. Oh and they have plum wine!

Honestly it’ll be a miracle if I don’t get food poising from this. Spongy fish, overcooked vinegary rice, 0 consistency of rice:fish ratio of rolls. Really really scary stuff
