Food is garbage, I’ve been here twice, and they don’t give free water cups. Despicable.
Undercooked and not crispy waffle fries. Chicken was tough but good flavor.

Just really terrible service. I placed an order online 20 mins before arriving and then once I arrived— I had to wait another 20 mins for the order. It seemed like they forgot about me until the *second* time I asked about my order. It even sucked on top of it bc the tables were so sticky for no reason. Seemed they were more concerned about whatever they had downstairs

I woke up yesterday and never heard of musubi with spam and bacon. I didn’t realize how empty my life was until I tasted that. Somewhat tongue in cheek yes. But delicious. And the garlic, soy chicken wings were also top notch. Everyone was nice and friendly. Beautiful lunch on the K St. mall. Highly recommended.

I ordered rice bowls on two separate occasions. The cook on the meat was not consistent. Some pieces were cooked right and some were overcooked. The taste was very good though.

This was my first time here and the staff were very helpful with suggestions. The original Koja and waffle fries was my pick per her suggestion and I wasn't disappointed. Great flavor, a little messy, and very filling. Have a few slop mops (napkins) ready for the mess of flavors about to dribble forth. I'll definitely be going here again.

Restaurantji Recommends
I didn't know the kabob place next door wasn't open. The cuties at the nightclub on the second floor didn't seem to know what happened either. They offered Taco Bell as a recommendation but I was looking for something local. Koja was on my radar for a night place spot with decent food at a reasonable price. It was definitely that and they do offer some intriguing options. I went with the Korean beef waffle fries based on the recommendation from a friendly bartender, who awaited me. When I entered, I had to show ID and run it through a machine, I wasn't happy with that. Not sure why that was necessary. Inside in the basement is where the bathrooms were and I entered a black light tunnel, it felt like something else was going on here but I'll never know. We just wanted food and within minutes it came out, just in time for us to wash our hands, grab our food and sit down on the patio and enjoy the chaotic scene that was K Street. It was a Friday night and K Street was popping. We had a pint of Big Dog lager and the tap blew. It was the only local beer they had, they seem to have all the commercial light beer options such as Corona, pacifico, and madelo. It just seemed like there was a lot going on. I give it a B

Super tasty, great proportions. Everything on the menu is a must try at some point. Haven't tried the tacos yet. The flavors are so good.

Food was great. The service was fantastic. First time there and the guy working the counter was helpful and shared ideas as well as combinations of food and drinks. Definitely a dangerous place since I live one block away.

I had the original Koja burger like dish yesterday and I’m pretty sure I got food poisoning from it. The place was not sanitary and the meal seemed sloppily prepared. The rice was not crispy and was a huge disappointment from their San Francisco sister location. Worst of all I got sick. It was strange that the restaurant was also a night club.
