Don't miss this place, this place is in a league of their own. Stopped by for a dinner with my gf and was not disappointed. The 45 min wait turned out to be 10 mins and they were super accommodating.

This was my second time at Kru. First off, the food is awesome. There were 4 of us and we ordered 3 appetizers to share. They were shareable in the sense that you’d expect from a place like this (expensive and small portioned but executed well). Rolls are kind of chunky and American style as you’d expect from sushi in California. Flavors are creative and well thought out. We went in for my Mom’s birthday celebration and her roll was the only one the server forgot to put it. They told us they rushed the order but we waited another 30 minutes till it came. I was sorely disappointed that they didn’t apologize or offer to comp a roll considering they’re on the Michelin guide. Our server was accommodating of our table, but they also didn’t bring out one of their desserts for my Mom or even offer to? I think they assumed we wouldn’t want it because we brought in our cake, but the offer would have been nice so she had a choice. Communication would have been nice because I would have suggested they do something since we waited 30 minutes for an entree forgotten. We dined on a Wednesday evening. Not insanely busy but a steady flow of folks coming in. Bummed about this experience, but we will be back!

Fabulous food, quality is excellent and fresh. We had 8 dishes to share. We did not have any sushi rice. We decided to have sashimi, smaller variety of dishes. All excellent. Our server, Clay was charming, attentive, and made the evening special. Highly recommend this place for special occasions.

Amazing Evening from the Moment we walked in the door. Had requested a quiet area which happened. Plus, made a 5pm Reservation on a Monday. By 7pm more people had arrived and noise level rose.
Three of us shared three delicious small plates plus two Desserts!
Service, Presentation and Atmosphere made for an enjoyable evening.

This was my first visit to Kru, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Jeff, our server was knowledgeable and thoughtful in his suggestions based on our expressed likes and questions. The drinks were delicious, the food was as fresh as I would expect next to the ocean. 10/10 will come back. One last shout out to Jose, the spirits manager. He has curated a fantastic selection of Japanese whiskeys.

If you get the pleasure of sitting at the bar and having Francis as your bartender and server you are in for an amazing experience. Every drink was his choice and they were so good. His version of a last word was MIND BOWING. And every Nigiri suggestion he gave us was delicious. My husband and I came back from Japan earlier this year and Kru’s nigiri is on par. Kru, give Francis a raise, he’s the best! He made our night, thank you!

Kru is always a special experience, regardless of the occasion. The service, food, cocktails (and non-alcoholic options), are always excellent. You can dress up for a nice night out or come as you are and enjoy yourself. It's hard to pick favorites here, but I start every meal with a Nigri or Sashimi Mix to share. I also love the Seven Spice Crusted Tuna, Sunshine Roll and the Miso Yaki Pork Belly. The Ngo Burger is a must-try once you've tasted through most of the menu.

Amazing dinner spent at Kru! The food was super delicious and tasted very fresh. One of the best dining experiences here in Sacramento. One of the best things was our server Vanessa. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the best dining experience possible, grateful to feel so welcomed paired with an overall awesome dinner experience :) Highly recommend and their Mango Cheesecake is a must!

Nice atmosphere, nice service, but they should stop serving a fatal amount of wasabi.

My wife and I came here for dinner. I ordered some nigiri, and a few of them had a ridiculous amount of wasabi. I didn’t complain anything to the server, but it was seriously over the top, not sure what happened.

I’ve enjoyed sushi at many places across California and Japan, We ordered two nigiri plates etc and while the fish itself was good, the amount of wasabi used was way too much..we looked each other and laughed. It seemed excessive and possibly intentional, perhaps chefs were stressed.. but didn’t see the need to do this to customer.
