The uni nigiri was rather delightful. Same for the arctic char nigiri. The maki are tastefully presented and taste great. The maitre d’ is warm and welcoming and offers great recommendations to guide you towards their freshest and choicest seafood. Restaurant doesn’t look like a lot from the outside, but it is comfortable clean well lit and charming inside. Will definitely come back and make it part of my regular restaurant rotation..

Friendly owner, underwhelming food experience unfortunately.

My wife and I are on an adventure to try as many sushi places near Sacramento and decided to try Kumi Sushi after seeing strong reviews online. The owner was very kind and welcoming, but the service felt disorganized. Our server seemed lost—we had to repeat our order several times, and even then, mistakes happened. This was our second visit and we were delighted again! Sushi was delicious, ambience was relaxing, and service was great! Daisy is the best! We had the sushi tacos . Didn’t take a picture , because we devoured them too quickly!
