This review is ONLY as to the croissants and the raisin custard pastry. I remember the AMAZING pastries from years ago--just like France. Not now. Flaccid croissants and limp custard wheels, barely baked (no discernible custard), with no differentiation from bready stuff. The lamination is poor, it does not taste authentic. Sorry, I've tried to patronize this place but after several recent tries I cannot in good conscience say this place is worth the money for these (expensive) items. Cannot comment on the food otherwise.

Delicious lattes. We come here often. This time we had hot bake croissants with turkey and cheese, bowl of cheddar cheese broccoli soup. Yum. Only complaint is the staff here can quite rude. The only friendly person here is a young slim boy who buses tables on the weekends. He’s nice and welcoming every time.

Sub par food and sub par service.
This place is very charming and in a great location, however, the food is very low quality and low effort
I've been to this La Bou ("Near The Zoo") twice now, once in November and once this month. Both times, the food was subpar, however, the food was better in November
I got a panini both times, and maybe I should just learn better. In November, I got the Roast Beef & Cheese Melt. This time around, I got a Farmhouse Panini, which is just a grilled cheese with deli sliced ham and an egg.
Both sandwiches cost over $10 but both were the equivalent of $3 to $5 sandwiches found at small airport cafes. Just very disappointing to pay $10 for a sandwich that costs around $1 to make max and tastes about average
I get this place is not known for its food, but it could at least drop the price for items like this...

I went around 2pm on a Wednesday and it was pretty quiet, which was nice. The food was good, but I did wish the chicken club panini with avocado had a bit more flavor - it was as if there was no flavor added until I used the sauce which came on the side. The Thai chicken soup was nice but also could have been a bit more flavorful. Overall I had a nice experience and would visit again.

I love their house salad with a scoop of tuna. The bread is always fresh and the creamy dill is amazing! I also mix it with the herb vinaigrette which is so yummy! I even buy some dressings for the weekend sometimes. Oh and the Spicy Thai soup is great - light, not thick, but full of flavor. I'm hungry now!

The ham and cheese panini was so underwhelming, the bread was so thin, and absolutely tasteless. The chai tea was good. It feels like a great location , in need of some updates.
