This place is armed to the bone with security. Follow the smell of chicharrones (fried pork things). The food place that serves it will have very low prices for traditional Mexican fare. I paid $3.25 for a chicken burrito and it was poached chicken with rice and refried beans. They did not add anything else so be prepared for that. I paid $13 for the same thing somewhere else in sac for chicken stew inside of the burrito so that’s 75% cheaper to order it here… that being said...
It seems like they are going downhill with their tamales. Last few times I’ve gotten them, they do not taste as good as they used to. This last time there was very little meat, basically consisted of sauce. I was pretty bummed & will not be going back for tamales anymore.
One of the best spots in all of Sacra to get everything you need for any party!!!! Everything from asada to pandulce! Everytime i walk the supermarket i get a flood of childhood memories! 😆
