I consider myself a connoisseur of fine Mexican cuisine ever since I traveled the Yucatan peninsula in '74. I've been there and back 9 times since, and never had I encountered Frijoles (beans) as genuinely Mexican as these at La Placita. You can taste the Mexican soil in which these beans were grown. I just happened upon this hidden treasure nearly 20 years ago when I was in Florin Town picking up some Caterpillar parts at Florin Tractor, they recommended Placita as I was in search of a good Menudo spot. My taste buds have never experienced anything like their Frijoles and Enchiladas North of the Rio Grand! Exquisite
