We just had “dinner” there and the experience was not good at all.
The waitress was kind of unhappy and unfriendly.
The food was very bad
The chips tasted like old very old oil the burritos had more beans than everything else
I felt bad because I was the one who insisted in having dinner there

The pozole without onion and oregano … nobody enjoyed anything and for that reason I diid pay ..

Fantastic food, superb service, and awesome atmosphere! Carne asada and borracho beans are sooo good! They truly know what they're doing here. Wish we could eat here everyday!

Beans were salty, rice was sad looking, did not enjoy the fishy quesadilla. Very small portions

WoW! Loved the atmosphere as we sat out on the terrace... And yes you do pay for the great aesthetics and location but the food was also top notch. I had the sopes and the pozole azteca... Both were 5 star worthy and I highly recommend both. We got the chips and salsa with a side of beans- worth paying for as they are thick homemade style chips but your first basket should be free I think. A coworker tried the chipotle pasta and added shrimp. Fantastic flavor and healthy portions all the way around. Oh and the horchata was fantastic!! Would visit again but be careful sitting next to the fans out bags got soaked and some things ruined as the condensation wasn't draining right and no one noticed till a little creek was running right along the edge where our bags were.

My wife and I had lunch here on a Sunday, early afternoon. The service was slow, and not at all attentive. I had the chicken taquitos, and my wife had the Chile Verde. The chicken in the taquitos was mushy, and had the consistency of cat food, which is about what it tasted like. The Chile Verde was not slow cooked, like it is supposed to be, hence it was tough and dry. I was also disappointed to see that they added $4.50 to the bill for chips and salsa; most Mexican restaurants provide these for free. All in all, it was a forgettable meal and I will not be returning.

We live this restaurant!! Myself, my husband and my amazing in-laws decided to eat at this restaurant while we were in old Sac. I have to say it was an excellent choice. The food was absolute delicious!! The carne asada burrito and the Camarones el Diablo was absolutely amazing!! Mario provided us an excellent dining experience, so thank you Mario you are the best!!!! I am telling you, you can’t go wrong dining at this establishment!!!!!!

Highly disappointed on the food. Went out to lunch for my daughters birthday. The salsa verde plate was saltier than the Pacific Ocean (not edible), the meat was tough too, flautas were bland no seasoning whatsoever, enmoladas were runny and flavorless and not the typical enmolada consistency. I would not recommend nor would we ever go back.

Great location on verandah overlooking the Wild West street. Food is good, large Carnitas plates. Friendly and prompt.
Prices went up from previous menu posts.
