Looking for a hole-in-the-wall - Found it.
We both liked the food, but I'd caution anyone that doesn't like it smokey.
The grandma that assisted us was friendly and answered our questions. If you need anything further or your check, just call her over. This isn't a let me hover over you, or here's your check you're done kind of place.
A little warm as there's no fancy AC. There is a window AC but not on today.

This is the best place in Sacramento for Mexican food and it doesn’t need this review to share that. Everything on the menu isn’t just good, it’s packed with flavor, served with good portions, and relatively cheap in today’s economy. And now since they’ve expanded into a second dining room, they even have enough seating without losing the charm of their original size.

If you are American or no Mexican, you have to know this is a good place to eat real Mexican and traditional food.

You should try a consomé an Barbacoa tacos, campechanos is a good option and green sauce.

Also you can order huitlacoche quesadillas or hongos or my favorite is papa con queso. You will love it.

Also the aguas frescas are very fresh and flavored with real fruit.
