The food was great, the service was quick and welcoming, and the atmosphere was very low key and we didn't feel rushed in any way. My only complaint was the prices, the food I would say was worth it, but more than 3 dollars for a drink felt like a bit much. Other than that. 9/10 would recommend

We recently moved from SoCal to Sacramento and this is one thing we loved about the area! It's something we wished we had down there (SFV). They have a great ice cream selection and are quite generous with their servings. Their staff are always nice and cheery and the price is affordable. Come to this gem of a place and I'm sure you would love it for so many reasons!

Great food. But what is going on in this place? Dirty as all hell. The worker had a FULL HEADSET on for music while working. Not AirPods, whole headphones. Another kid had a backpack on... while working? And the food all over the walk way, begging someone to trip. People standing around doing nothing, while my house fries take 25 minutes. Teach your staff better or get new ones. Not a good look.

We were visiting for business in nearby Woodland. We visited Old Sacramento and wanted ice cream. None of the shops there felt quite right. So we searched online for nearby ice cream and found one shop closed then THANKFULLY we came upon Leatherbys. They were open late, CLEAN and friendly, and the environment is fun. We ordered 2 sundaes and enjoyed them both. The next night...yes, we went back... we decided to enjoy dinner. We had burgers, DELICIOUS fries, and more ice cream.We laughed, talked, and thoroughly enjoyed our time together. Leatherbys made it so easy to do all of these things. A bright spot to a usually drab business trip.We will always come back to Leatherbys when we visit Sacramento...and I highly recommend you visit too.
We love Leatherby's!! We only recently started going in person (ordered takeout in the past though) and it has quickly become our "go to". My three year old gets so excited to see his "friends" Ray and Kiana - who are the most awesome servers we have met!! Those two truly make us feel at home and while the food and ice cream are great, it's the atmosphere and exceptional service that have elevated this place to our favorite.
Food was ok, but the ice cream is delicious. Servers are great as they're always busy daily & my family enjoyed eating in.

Another Sac staple for ice cream with a classic ice cream shop vibe! Great place for a date or to hangout with friends with lots of seating. They also have a room in the back where they make the ice cream that is visible from the back dining area. I love cookies and cream and they definitely have the best cookies and cream milk shake. I order it every time! They also make a delicious loaded fries dish that I love to eat there. I definitely wed to go here more often.
