Absolutely plan to come back the next time in the area. The tagines and other items on offer look incredible, and even a day enjoying tea would be a great time in this lovely space

My first time here today! Just moved into the neighborhood and tried moroccan food for the first time and had breakfast. Highly recommend the atlas sunrise. Very quiet and nearby parking available. Will have to come back for more dishes!

What a meal, absolutely special. I came for breakfast and left finally having found something I've been searching for a version of that equalled my memories of visiting Marrakech long ago - the msemen. What a treat, and paired with the mint tea and the Atlas Sunrise eggs, this was a breakfast to set the standard for 2026. Service was outstanding, as well

This is such a lovely little cafe! We ate here for a rare valentines dinner and loved every single bite. Hands down the best food I have ever had in my life. If you can make it here, DO.

I got the Sunrise breakfast plate and mint tea. Cozy ambience and delicious food, like eating a home cooked meal. I savored every bite and wished I could linger longer in the space.

Complete 5*, first time here, ordered Casablanca Burger, delicious sauce made its stand out vs other burgers. No tree nut allergies in the meal, too. I enjoyed the relaxing orchestra music and scenery on the HDTV. Highly recommended, would comeback again!

I found Little Morocco Café by searching “Moroccan food” in Sacramento on Yelp. I had never heard of it before, which honestly shocked me,because I’m Moroccan, and I’ve been craving an authentic taste of home for a very long time.

I live about two hours away, so before making the drive, I decided to call and confirm what I was seeing on their menu. I noticed they offered multiple types of tagine and msemen, anyone familiar with Moroccan food knows these dishes take hours of dedication and hard work to prepare, so I was genuinely surprised to see them on a restaurant menu. They confirmed everything was available, and I decided to head out.

While driving, I ran into traffic. Around 2:15 pm, I checked their page again and realized they closed at 3:00 pm, and my ETA wasn’t until around 2:45 pm. I called back and explained that I was coming from far away and had been craving Moroccan food for so long. Without hesitation, they told me it was no problem to still welcome us in, and kindly asked if we could order over the phone so they could start cooking ahead of time.

I ordered the chicken tagine, lamb tagine, msemen, bastilla, fries, and Moroccan tea, and they said no problem at all.

When we arrived, it took a few minutes to find parking, but once that was sorted out, they served our food within just a couple of minutes. We came in close to closing time, yet they were so kind and welcoming, and that alone already meant a lot.

The moment I walked in, I was so happy. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, and the smell when you walk in is incredible. The inside is absolutely beautiful, filled with Moroccan décor that feels warm, comforting, and heartwarming. It honestly felt like stepping into Morocco. They even had a large TV playing scenes from back home, which made the experience even more special.

One small detail that really stood out to me was being served water that wasn’t ice cold. That almost never happens, and it made the experience even more enjoyable.

Then came the food, and it completely exceeded expectations. The tagines tasted authentic and full of deep, rich flavor. The bread was fresh, warm, and perfect. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The bastilla deserves a special mention, it was so, so good. In terms of fine Moroccan dining, I have never experienced anything like this.
While we were eating, we noticed that an older couple had their sleeves rolled up, doing everything, cooking, serving, cleaning, with the help of a younger gentleman. They were all incredibly kind, welcoming, and hardworking. They stayed open for us for an extra 30 minutes or so and never once made us feel rushed.

The food, the atmosphere, and the hospitality were all top-notch. This place is truly a hidden gem in Sacramento, a little portal back home to Morocco. I am very grateful for this experience and can’t wait to come back with my family and to tell more of my Moroccan friends about it.

Highly recommend. We will definitely be back.
