The bands are greatThere's a cover charge it goes to the musians....The more people that come the more money the musians make and that means your supporting your local artists. Helping them to achieve their musical goals in life....
Went to hear a friend play music. That was amazing.Hadn't been in years...very small.Enjoyed Guacamole and Chips. More on the Menu to be enjoyed at another time.Friendly Staff. Pleasant Atmosphere.Funky Place.Located in Midtown Sacramento....parking can be challenging.
Standing room only for an incredible night of spectacular Jazz. Felt like I was in a Paris nightclub. Thank you for bringing in the talent Luna’s cafe, you rock!!!!!
Luna's is a huge part of Sacramento music history, the food is awesome, and the staff are too. Definitely catch a show or go grab a beer and some food.
I wanted to like this place. A group of us were walking by and saw that a band was warming, so we thought we'd support them. Unfortunately, the man behind the bar was so grumpy, it made us all want to leave as soon as we could. The beer was fune, but the wine spritzer had flat seltzer.
Been meaning to do this for awhile. During the last couple years, Luna's Cafe has required all patrons to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or be denied entry. The owner of the cafe went as far as to put up a "no shirt, no shoes, no vax, no admittance." sign outside and say "It encourages people to get vaccinated number one," Luna said. "But number two - it protects you, your employees, your customers."These restrictions continued well into 2022, even after it was shown incontrovertibly that the vaccine didn't prevent transmission. Seems that they quietly removed the restrictions at some point in the last few months but the damage has been done...you've participated in a very hateful campaign to coerce people into doing an experimental treatment that was not based on science, but on propaganda and for that you will not have my business until you are at the very least ready to authentically apologize and say how you were wrong.
It's a nice place to go to listen some quiet music
Vegetarian options: They have pretty good smoothies
The owner, Art Luna, is an absolute disgusting person. He refused to serve water in 100 degree weather due to having a 1 drink minimum. He brought everyone’s drink to the table, came back two times without water. His attitude was very poor. He states he can not stay open if people do not purchase 1 drink. He had zero compassion. A little tip for you Art, should you be a little more kind to your patrons when they order water, they’d be more likely to make a purchase in your tragically bland restaurant.
This has been my best brunch experience since moving to Philly. I came to have a calm lunch with someone and this is the type of place you can ease into Saturday at. KC our waitress had us laughing the whole time. What a fantastic experience.
Great home grown restaurant and stage. Open mike poetry is lots of fun in this upclose and intimate setting.

Great atmosphere, great live bands & great waitress & reasonable food & drinks
If I could put no stars I would. THE OWNER IS SO RUDE AND DISCRIMINATORY...
Comedy is always amazing, their food (nachos especially) is great! The owner, Art Luna, is also a great guy and supports local talent by hosting shows of all kinds. This is one of my favorite places to go!
Amazing place. And SO glad they are requiring proof of vaccines! Bravo
When I lived in Sacramento I used to come here all the time to read my poetry at the open mic night. It’s a safe, supportive atmosphere to do spoken word in. And of course Art is wonderful and they make the best sangrias! What’s not to like? Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.
