3/23/25 the ribs, tritip, chicken NO FLAVOR! THE RIBS Under cooked.. sauce hot with no flavor!..

I loved their old energy slaw which was comprised of lots of kale and other good things. However, they changed the recipe and it looks more like cold slaw now. It's not bad, but I like the old recipe better. I was craving the old one and was disappointed with the new. 😔

The cashier was nice. The food was cold, DRY, tasteless, the greens were So SALTY that they were inedible. We told the cashier & she agreed with our complaints. So Fix them!

It’s probably better on some days vs others but my personal experience was NOT worth spending money. I got the rib combo with 2 sides and a roll.
Now the ribs were tender I’ll give that but they lacked seasoning, good but definitely not mind blowing. The green beans were cooked well but also lacked seasoning. Now the coleslaw…I love coleslaw but this one was easily the very worst coleslaw I’ve ever had. I see a lot of people enjoy their food and I am not trying to diss them but it was definitely not money well spent for me. I wouldn’t return.
I usually don’t recommend getting bbq sauce for meat, so that the flavor of the meat can be tasted but maybe you may need it here.

I can't say enough! If you're a fanatic of Ribs & other complimentary sides, you DEFINITELY will not be disappointed with MacQues! Not only do I stop in & order online as well, but, you will notice right out-the-gate, the entire staff bend over backwards in excellence in customer service...they acknowledge you the second you enter their welcoming establishment...they're located in-between Golden 1 and another great 'fast food ' restaurant but I'm telling you folks, you're missing out on one of two of my favorite BBQ Rib Joints! Now....get over there! *Note...Closed only on Mondays and Peach Cobbler available only on Saturdays...I'm drooling just writing this! ?

Every tritip roast is different, this one was dry and chewy, probably should have had the brisket. The ham was great, ribs were ok but the rub didn't come through so it was basic smoked meat no seasoning
Sides are not home made which was such a disappointment so taste like Walmart potato and macaroni salad.
It's BBQ, the prices do kinda reflect food quality, so affordable but no fan fare.
It's too bad because I was really looking forward to trying the barbecue at this place

Parking: The parking was not a issue at all, it's shared parking with other stores. Whenever I order from Mac Que's I get really good parking space. Free Parking! The food is really good too. Try the ribs, mac and cheese red beans & rice or baked bean and salad. Delish BBQ without sauce. Yummy.
