I called this place 1 week ago and asked if they have chicken kabob that comes with bread and salad/ rice like you would get at other afgan restaurants, the guy said yes. I ordered 2 chicken kabobs. When I picked up the food it was a chicken bowel with tiny amount of rice and some dry chicken. What a disappointment. Dude lied to me to get my business. I haven't tried the other dishes but I probably never will.

I just bought food from this restaurant, the food is nothing like it was showed in the pictures even the meat was not fresh, and it made me to throw up (sorry but I never recommend this to anyone). I hope no body els falls to their menu picture cuz nothing was as pictures shows. Madar was good but tolo is a disaster.

This used to be Madar. I loved the chicken sandwich and ordered it from this place since the picture was the same as madar's and figured it was the same sandwich since they used their picture. I was wrong, the worst sandwich I've eaten by far. Fell apart as soon as I picked it up, since it was filled with three tenders instead of a patty. Flimsy bun that reminds me of some American wonder bread. Watery chutney sauce served on the side when I didn't ask for it on the side, so the sandwich was plain. This wasn't the afghan street food I remembered. The inside looked very cluttered and uninviting compared to how Madar used to look. Very unremarkable food... but the service was polite and friendly, I got a free chai while waiting a little longer than expected. Thank you for the kind service but the food is not something I'm coming back for.

Generous portions, high quality meat, and flavorful. The guys working here are very polite and helpful. A true hole in the wall Afghan food experience. They are also doing a great job with the fusion experience; I tried the Chapli Kabob Burger which was outstanding. Chapli Kabob are Afghan patties. Arif and Javed are exceptional guys. Don’t expect much in terms of ambiance but come here for the food and service.

I'm so sure I had already written a review for this place, but did my review get taken down? Loved Madar. The Sultan fries and samosas were something else. I see they've changed the name to tolo market now, I wonder if the recipes and food will be different now too.. Last time we got food here they had changed the inside seating area and gotten rid of the nice bed with pillows and the food was way too salty. I'm still gonna give them one more chance. I hope they only changed the name and not the recipes.

Visited this place just by chance and were pleasantly impressed with their great service and awesome food. We tried Bolani and Chapli kabobs over rice. Everything was freshly cooked and the taste was just great. The grocery shelf was very nearly arranged and the stuff was pleasing to eyes. We bought some groceries despite having no plans to do that. Also ordered some fish and another bolani to go. We highly recommend this Halal food place. When a small business place offers such good food, they deserve a detailed review to acknowledge their hard work.
