Lovely restaurant serving scrumptious seasonal dishes in the heart of midtown. My party was pretty large so I started making the reservations a week ahead. The owner, Janel, called me right back after I left a message and helped me iron out the details for seating and the menu. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Andrew, our waiter was attentive. Everyone in my party raved about how delicious the food was and even my vegan friend had plenty of options to choose from...
We (party of 4) enjoyed a variety of appetizers, wine, main courses & dessert/coffee. We were glad to be seated towards the back of the restaurant where it was a little quieter. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient . Food was nicely plated and delicious overall. We enjoyed the evening.
We had lunch at Magpie while attending a conference in Sac. From booking to end, it was a great experience. They accommodated our request for specific seating location to support a few of our group's needs, and provided us with excellent, and very fast service so we could get back to the conference in time. Thank you to our server, and to the kitchen! The food was great. Balanced flavors, clean plating, and good portion size relative to the price. Definitely worth the trip!
