Great pizza, surly staff. I am a big fan of this place. I've never dined in, it's a pizza joint so nobody expects an amazing 5-star atmosphere. I won't get pizza anywhere else in town. Ever.

When you first walk in it looks like a hole in the wall place, nothing fancy... but boy would you be wrong!!! The pizzas they offer for the day all have unique ingredients that you wouldn't normally think about putting together, but let your freak flag fly!!! They are sooooooooo good! They KNOW what they are doing! They have a wide selection of wines that they pair with each pizza, and their salads (which we didn't try) look like a meal by themselves!!! When you sit down and look around, you see kid scribbles on the wall. Obviously from their kid (who's on the website) which gives this place a one of a kind family vibe! Service was quick and professional. Hearing the conversations they have with other people they seem to pride themselves on getting to know their customers! I love it! Please give it a try! You won't be disappointed!

Don't get confused with the pizza ingredients. This dudes a pizza maestro! Amazing how he can blend the various toppings to create pizza bliss. Highly recommend the 'daily' pizza specials; you won't be disappointed

Clear from the start that Majka and Berkeley's Cheeseboard are sisters. Truly distinctive pizza and crust. The vegetarian and carnivores in my group alike all fully enjoyed the pizza of the day of cremini and shiitake mushrooms, mozzarella, goat cheese, pecorino Romano, garlic olive oil and fresh herbs. I was surprised that the place wasn't packed for a weekend lunch, but there was a steady stream of what appeared to be regulars coming through and ordering take out. Ambiance not much to speak of with pizza served in the box with paper plates. But it didn't take away from anything either. Looks like a great wine selection though we were fine with just water. My nephew ordered miso caramel ice cream and said he really liked it.

We got the pizza of the day and it was really good. The owner was Really friendly. We got take out but there are a few tables to hang out and eat there.

Delicious pizzas! Specialty pizzas are always vegetarian and made with fresh ingredients! Check the website for the specific specialty pizza being made that day. Although the price is a little steep, the quality of the food makes up for it. Service is relatively prompt - I recommend ordering online for more convenience. The restaurant itself is pretty small and industrial looking. Not much space to sit so recommend eating at home. Love the food! Will be back here again.

One of my favorite pizza places in Sacramento! If you aren't familiar with Cheeseboard in Berkeley, this is its sister! I love the variety of their daily pizzas, and the salad we got was also great. The green sauce is an extra cost (unfortunately) but you CANNOT skip out on it - simply must buy. I highly recommend this spot to everyone! We got take out so can't say much about the service but inside was small with limited seating. A great spot for a casual hangout with a friend!

When we heard there was a Cheeseboard clone in Sacramento, we were ecstatic. Cheeseboard is one of our absolute favorite pizza spots and we often drive to Berkeley just to eat there. My husband credits Cheeseboard for turning him into a food connoisseur due to their use of fresh, seasonal, ingredients and ability to make a completely vegetarian pizza enjoyable for even the most voracious carnivores. That being said, we were so excited to try Majka and finally had a chance this past weekend. Unfortunately, we were disappointed, as our pizza came sopping wet and overly greasy (see pictures). Theoretically, the ingredients on the pizza were excellent; execution was poor. The whole wheat "supposed sourdough" was glistening with oil, and soggy from the excess water from the vegetables. We would have appreciated longer proofing and more flavor in the dough. Eating was an extremely messy ordeal, which required a stack of napkins. If there is a bright spot, the green sauce was excellent (perhaps even better than Cheeseboard).

Excellent, excellent pizza. When I'm working in the office, this is my go-to for lunch when I want something savory, hot, and at a good price. $5 for a large slice. As a vegetarian, there is always a cheese option as well as whatever the daily special may be, which usually includes lots of veggie toppings. The seasoning and the ingredients are fresh and make each pie delicious and savory. But do NOT sleep on the baked goods, either. The salted chocolate chip cookie! Thin, delicate, crunchy in the right areas while softly melting in your mouth in other areas. I am a cookie fanatic, and I have to have this goddamned cookie now, every time I get a slice. Best damned cookie in town.

The owner's customer service really lacks lol (person I went with noticed it too) but he makes good pizza ‍

Lame! I came here when the place was full of customers and they turned me away because they had allegedly closed 30 minutes earlier. Their pizza is mediocre at best and their hours suck. There is a better pizza to be had at many other places in downtown Sac.

Truly one of the best pizzas in the city, but the price point is very high. Also, be generous with the green sauce!!
